Seems very durable. With this piece you can adjust your phone mount how you want it on the bike. Every thing is sold separately so you have to buy the phone holder mount and handle bar mount as well. Would be nice to just sell a kit all in one.
Short version is great for a GPS on a dirtic bike!
I got the short version to mount my GPS on my dirt bike. This length keeps it tucked in away from damage and is still visible while riding. RAM mounts always stay put and have great adjustability. You can't go wrong with these.
Write yoI ride fairly fast in all kinds of terrain and wanted a mirror I could see clearly out of and that is what I got. This mirror mounts solidly to my Sportsman 570 and gives me a clear view all the time. No shake or rattle. It is also fairly easy to move out of your way with a large wing nut to loosen the adjustment points I can rotate it out of the way when I need to lean forward on a steep hill climbs in the mountains and then quickly get it back into adjustment. My only complaint (and this is pretty minor to me) is I over tightened one of the clamp bolts and snapped it off when installing it. I didn't think I was putting that much pressure on it at the time. I just got a new bolt and didn't tighten it so hard the next time. Over all I would definitely spend the extra money on this mirror for the clear view and solid mounting. It also looks pretty good.
The Ram Ball Mounting system is just Awesome. This is the best way I have ever seen to securly mount your, I-Pod, Cell Phone, GPS, Mirrors Etc. I'm using the ram mounts on my 2008 Kawasaki KLR Dual Sport. They work great on or off road. They are easy to adjust or switch locations of different electronics. The mirrors will fold out of the way if hit by branches or you crash. Just pick up your pride, re-adjust and Ride on. I will be putting Ram Ball Mounts on my Goldwing. I can then quickly transfer my GoPro Camera, GPS, I-Pod etc. from one motorcycle to the other in just minutes.
I originally bought the 3 inch ones to use for my mirrors and they were a little long so I got a pair of the short ones. Now I'm setting up a mount for my Galaxy Note ll with one the 3 inch ones. Very happy with the quality and versatility of all of their products. Can't beat Made in America which is my favorite feature. I also have the perch mounts which has saved me a lot of room on my protaper bars, my WR450 has a light switch and an electric start.Long story short if you have an enduro you can use these.
