The Core EXP 3.0 is Rekluse’s latest update to their Core EXP line and their most advanced clutch yet. Rekluse is still providing the uncontested best for weekend warriors and professional racers alike by giving them the same smooth shifting, raw power delivery, and zero stalling that all Rekluse centrifugal clutches offer.
With Rekluse’s 3.0 update, the Core EXP is taken to a new level of refinement and precision. A redesigned clutch plate now has less rotating mass thanks to large lubrication openings that promote cooler operating temps. The increased durability of the 3.0 means greater component life and less adjustments to the system as a whole once you have it dialed in. When your traditional clutch fades the Rekluse is engineered to hold fast and keep that precious horsepower transferring to the rear wheel.
What does all this engineering mean for you, the rider? That rocky climb you stalled on? You’re going to fly up it. The technical terrain you’ve never been comfortable with? You’re about to pick it apart. Tired of eating roost at the track? Welcome to the world of faster lap times. With updates and cues taken from previous generations, the Core EXP Clutch 3.0 has the refinements, performance, and absolute control you need to move up in the riding world.
Improves traction in technical and slow terrain with a smooth power delivery and limited tire spin.
Increases durability by increasing oil flow though clutch and including premium materials in the construction.
Installs easily with all the componenets you need and a seamless integration with stock/OEM components.
Made 100% in the USA: Rekluse supports the sport by designing, manufacturing, and shipping everything under the Rekluse name from their headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
Includes
3.0 Clutch Hub that resists notching due to its design and greatly reduces weight compared to the stock component.
3.0 Pressure Plate for greatly increased oil flow and reduced mass thanks to the extensive cutouts.
Steel Drive Plates that provide unrivaled consistency and repeatable clutch engagment even when clutch temps rise.
Some models include Rekluse Clutch Cover for trick looks, a strong guard against debris/brake pedals, and the room your clutch needs to work at peak performance.
Benefits
Virtually eliminates stalling
Improved slip/fade control over previous models
Increased durability from premium materials
Lighter assembly for a lighter feeling bike
Increased lubrication from better oil flow
Cooler operating temperatures
Fully tunable to rider preference and terrain condition
Construction
Centrifugal auto clutch that replaces your stock components
After riding with the Rekluse I decided to turn it off and see if there was any difference. i have always ridden like the Rekluse wasn't on the bike. After turning it back to manual I could tell a Huge difference in tight technical trails. This is a game changer!
Fantastic, went right in per the instructions supplied, and works great, just follow the plan as given, and you will not have any problems with the install or use.
Installation took longer than expected and there were a few gray areas after following instructions and videos. Spent a day trail riding to get used to the clutch before a hare scramble the following day.
What difference it makes. Now I know why everyone else has one.
If you ride right single track or need more throttle control in large rock infested trails or just want to enjoy the trails more then buy this it is great.
The Recluse works as advertised. Tried it on several hills. One in third gear that I would have stalled on but the clutch would slip at the right moment and give me a boost of rpms and got me to the top without a stall. I would recommend it to others.
I race TCCRA here in Texas with all kinds of terrain. I admit I am not an expert or pro by no means. The Rekluse 3.0 Clutch has made me such a better racer. Before the clutch it was hard for me to compete because of stalling on the technical stuff we race. After the clutch it was night and day difference. No more stalling and I am sitting 5th out of 40 in points for my class. Only negative is you lose the engine braking on down hills but I can deal with that!!
Makes tight, steep, rocky single track much easier to tame. No more stalling. This version allows full use and feel on the clutch if you need it. Lock up the rear tire with no stalling.. it's like cheating.
This version replaces all clutch parts except the friction plates and the bask (comes with a new bale and pressure plate assy).
East to install with my average skills. Took me about an hour to install.
Love it love it love it, was a little skeptical at first but I ride allot of single track and woods and don't make a paycheck on it so this tactical advantage is a welcome help. Mind you I'm only 5'9" so when I need to do a rear wheel 180 on an off camber switch back it's an awesome thing. Little expensive but well worth its weight in greenbacks.
I just installed this and went through the recommended break in process. I’m fairly mechanically inclined and with the instructions and a YouTube video or two I had this installed in a day. It takes some time to get used to, but so far I’m really digging it! On a different note, Rekluse customer service is excellent. They were happy to answer the questions I had.
If your ride and kind of single track or woods type riding or even technical stuff this is a must. The will allow you to focus more on riding and don’t have to worry about using your Clutch wearing you hand out or stalling your bike in technical sections. Bike will work for efficient and can still use it as a normal clutch to get that getup if need be. It will chatter and make some noise so invest in a Hinson clutch basket to go with it. I wouldn’t recommend it for motocross but any other type of riding yes.
Love Rekluse products. This is my second Core EXP. One of the best upgrades one can do. Install is easy and step by step directions are easy to follow.
Fantastic product if it's as good as my last auto clutch.
This is a quality product, installation was straight forward and simple with the rekluse supplied clutch slave. I had a revloc dyna ring in my 450. They are out of business. The rekluse is a more refined product. I haven't had the bike in the woods because we got a couple inches of rain but I did the break in and tore up the neighbors bean field a little. This was a 2012 ktm 250sx install.
I have a Ktm350xcf the reckless made riding so much more enjoyable I love it. The hardest part for me was getting used to the idea of not having to clutch the bike all the time. Installing the reuse was not to bad. ????
It's a night and day difference when doing extreme Enduro You don't loose any power The only thing is when your going downhill The bike doesn't have any engine brake But you get use to it in a few rides
I like the adjustment on this new one being I have hydraulic clutch it is a bit more install work having to replace that with the rekluse one but the adjustment afterwards is so much easier than my old one. I had trouble removing the main clutch basket bolt and had to get an impact gun but other than that, it was a fast easy setup and their install video is great. Just wish they weren't so expensive...
It may seem to be on the pricey side, but after riding tight rocky and rooted trails you forget all about that. Was an easy install, video was very helpful.
This Rekluse kit has been trouble free for 3 years now. I was a doubter, but I am a believer now. In the tight New England stuff that we get thrown into, this part is a life saver. BUT - Your bike must be tuned to run very well at low speed to prevent frequent stalling. If your bike does not idle well, or it runs roughly down low, you may have trouble getting the most out of this clutch. BTW - On KTM's, be sure to buy the rubber clutch basket cushions when you buy this clutch. The instructions will recommend that you replace them every 100 hours.
So I have had Rekluse clutches on most of my bikes in the last few years and I knew this would be a stellar product. This one went on my '13 KTM 450 XC-F and it really made a difference in the woods! Not only is there no stalling on the tight stuff, but it takes off just a little bit of the snap that the MX engine of this bike has. This is the most I've ever paid for a Rekluse, but I'm very happy with the result. Now I just need one for the Harley!
I did a bunch of research before I went with the Core 3.0 - the big benefit to this one is that the clutch feels just like OEM - but when you get into a tight technical area where it's a bit like wrestling a bear, the Rekluse steps in and keeps you from stalling and makes the power modulation that much easier.
Installation was pretty straightforward, although the manual is somewhat generic and will be a little confusing to someone who is not mechanically inclined. One thing that I had read is that it was very important to precisely tighten the springs to 9 foot-pounds in a star pattern - I went out and bought a 1/4" drive torque wrench specifically for this purpose, took my time and installed everything carefully. Still need to fine-tune the drag but it hooks up a lot like it's just the stock clutch in there, but almost entirely eliminated flameout, which this bike seems to be prone to.
All in all, it was worth every single penny and the only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner.
The best upgrade you can buy for your recreational toy!
Okay, so this clutch unit is one of the more expensive options you can purchase for your recreational toy. I recently started racing hare scrambles with my 2001 YZ250. After the first race, I realized my bike although fun and fast, is no good for that type of racing. I was faced with 2 options, get a different bike, or spend the money to make my bike work. Knowing the entire 16 year history of the bike, I decided it was worth putting the money into my bike. This clutch (along with the left hand rear brake kit) made all the difference! I have so much less hand and arm fatigue, and my corner speeds are at least twice as fast as before. I can't say enough. I would buy this unit over and over again.
Just installed one of these in a friends WR450. He struggles with clutch work on technical trail. He is a big dude @ 6'4" 280ish and is used to riding big heavy fly wheeled thumpers and just tractoring around everywhere (xr600). WR is not the same. Lighter flywheel, less torque, more rev. The Rekluse was the answer to his prayers. Totally made the riding more enjoyable for him with less drama and exertion which is nice considering he is late 50s. Install was easy, took a few adjustments to get just right. Had the clutch cover off about 7x all together to get the free-play gain just right at the lever. Ended up with the center hub at 1 full turn plus about 7 clicks after she was all broke in. Runs like a dream, good instructions, just wish for this price they would include new fibers in the kit.
The answer to rocky boney tight nasty hairy hard core trails filled w logs and ruts and hill climbs A bit of a chatter noise on initial takeoff if your easing into the throttle Nothing a quick crack of throttle doesn't fix. Awsome!!
I purchased this for my daughters 2008 CRF150R. She is new to riding and the 150R proved to be a bit aggressive for her so to help with the learning curve, I installed the Rekluse Core EXP. The installation was simple - I took the opportunity to change all the fluids, but really all you need to drain is the coolant for this bike. I do recommend ordering a new gasket with the clutch so you can replace that during the install. The setup after installation was really simple as well. A few adjustment on the clutch cable and it was dialed in. Break in took very little time as well. My daughter loves it. She is able to ride without stalling and is enjoying the ride instead of being so nervous. I realize the clutch can do and is designed to do much more that what I purchased it for, but this is just another reason why Rekluse is an excellent product.
This clutch was everything I expected and more. I've got around 130 hours on it and that's been on some pretty tough single track in the CO mountains and the desert around Moab UT. The performance is great. They tell you to check the adjustment after each ride but it only needed adjusting once sense the original install. Great install video. An air or elec. impact gun is helpful when removing the stock clutch. I do recommend getting a rear hand brake when running the Rekluse. It really helps on those steep, long down hills where your not on the throttle and the clutch tends to engage.
The Rekluse clutch was a little bit of work to put on but if I had to do it again it would be much faster. Learning to use the Rekluse clutch was really easy. This makes a huge difference in difficult hillclimbs and tricky Rocky sections. Compression braking is probably better than it was before but you have to learn how to use it. The clutch lever feels exactly like it did before and sometimes accidentally use it. I went to training classes and practiced and thought I was pretty good with my clutch. In reality, I had no idea what a clutch could do until I rode with the Rekluse. It's like buying talent and skill.
I've been riding super technical terrain for more years than I like to admit. This clutch is the absolute bomb. Now in entering third year using it. Ask anyone that has one you'll hear the same - it's a game changer.
Tractor through ANYTHING, never stall, confidence will soar and mental fatigue is minimized with the old clutch feather exiting the game. Lack of engine breaking is real, but not an issue for me.
If you can muster the cash, do not hesitate. I'll never ride without one again.
Easy to install, just follow the instruction it comes with. They also have a lot of videos online. I ran into an issue called rekluse, great customer service, took the guy a minute to tell me where I went wrong. My wife loves it on her KTM 125sx. And of course RM is one of the greatest companies to order from.
It's cheating. Rekluse and steg pegs are a requirement for any bike I race now. The adjustments feel differently on a hydraulic clutch. Took some time to get it right.
Installation was painless and straightforward. Fitment of parts was precise. Setup for the clutch was straightforward and it works great. Would recommend to anyone wanting to make their bike easier to ride.
Awesome product. All inclusive. If you're familiar with clutches can be placed in an hour. Adjustments can be made without removing clutch cover. Preserves normal clutch function, no change in performance.
This is the best most effective addition to any bike I have ever made. If you think dirt biking is fun with a standard clutch wait until you try a rekluse. I already have one on my yzf450f. I put this on my sons crf150rb. It's unbelievable how much his riding and comfort level have improved.
Bought the Rekluse clutch because of all the rave about it. I needed a new clutch anyway so dropped the 899 to see if it was as good as the reviews I've read lately.i can see a big difference in fatigue after riding for extended periods. -m-2007 YAMAHA WR450F--
Easy to install, had no issues adjusting to needs. Did the break in procedure on wet asphalt and was amazed on how this clutch puts the torque and traction to the ground! Unfreakin believable!!
This is the only why to go for a clutch! was really hesitant on paying so much for a clutch. After riding the bike for the 1st time I will never own a bike without one.
You don't realize how much more fun it is to ride until you have.an auto clutch.
I love this product. It makes my CRF450R so easy to trail ride. Very easy to install if you watch the installation video and read the instructions. Save your pennies, it's worth it.
BEST ANSWER:You have two choices here. You can still use it just like a normal clutch lever for starting off and shifting if you want to and It feels exactly like the original manual clutch. Or you can elect not to use it at all.. your choice. I recommend using it some to start off as well as feathering to gain power. The main upside is that the bike will never stall so you can focus more on the technical riding. The down side, which is minor, is that the bike will roll while in gear so you can't use engine compression to keep the rear wheel from turning. Hope this helps.
Dwayne, Thanks for your input that did help, especially telling me about the engine braking I didn't think about that part. I was also curious if you found it more difficult to get the front end of the bike to pop up in technical sections? Thanks in advanced.

you can if you want to, it will work like a normal clutch, BUT you do not need to. you can come to a complete stop in gear without pulling in the clutch. Turn the throttle a little and off you go. The best thing about these clutches is you cannot stall your bike, helps a lot when in rough terrain or getting tired.
I can still use the clutch lever as much as I want to, but there are times, particularly that I don't use the clutch lever at all. This clutch almost makes a pro out of a beginner, it is virtually impossible to stall the bike while using this clutch!
I do as it is ingrained in me. Its the odd time that i am in too high of gear and without it the bike would stall, now it does not. Just punch the gear down, no lever with lever whatever and off you go.
I purchased the Rekluse Core EXP Clutch 3.0 for my 2014 KTM 500 EXC and I want to be sure all the parts I need are included. Or.....do I need to buy clutch plates or anything else????
BEST ANSWER:Everything you need is included. Excellent Clutch package, you'll love it. I installed my on my 2012 Yamaha WR450F. When you install it, pulling you oem basket off, you don't have to take it all the way off. If you do remove it, make sure you put it back correctly, because I broke my kick-start gear because I had no idea it had to fit in a groove. Also, I crashed on my WR and broke my leg, somy wife and daughters talked me into selling it. I am 60 yrs old, but I miss my WR a lot. I had everything you could possibly add or buy on my bike, it was super fast, handled perfect and a blast to ride in the AZ desert around my home. I hope I helped you. Make sure you adjust your clutch according o the instructions. There are videos on their website and their Customer Service is excellent also, I called them several times, they were very helpful.

I installed on a 2012 500 EXC and my kit was perfect. Everything there. I installed myself with no issue. Follow instructions and online help as needed. The hydraulic clutch was a little interesting but in the end fine. Either way but it it's the best damn mod ever. Love it. Makes life so so easy you'll drop seconds to every section without trying especially on the big bores. Pick a tall gear and just ride you hardly even need to shift really and technical sections are a joke with these bike set up like this.
I did not buy new clutch plates for mine we used the ones that were already in the old clutch since they looked good. If yours don't look to worn out I don't see the need for new ones. Some people will tell you to buy new ones. My bike is a 2012 KTM 350xc-f. The plates in mine were actually the stock ones. They are still in the bike today with the rekluse. The only thing I bought extra that didn't come with the rekluse kit was the slave cylinder cover from rekluse. Hope this helps you.
All parts were in the package! Nothing else was needed. Unless you don't follow directions, then you might need some oil! I purchased my Rekluce core EXP 3.0 for my sons 2006 KTM 144 sx. I've never installed one before this. Took me longer to install than I'm sure most, but I just wanted to take my time and make sure I did it right. Great product!! I will definitely buy again for another bike!! SOLD!!!!!!!!????????????????????????
Everything iyou need is included, with the exception of clutch fluid. You will use your existing friction plates and the inner hub. The kit will have all the other parts. You need to bleed the clutch as part of the install of the new slave cylinder, that's when the fluid comes into play. There are some great videos on line that walk through the process. Good luck!
The only additional things you may want to purchase are the stronger belleville spring and a set of the rubber dampers which will likely be worn out. They are both mentioned in the instructions for the unit. I used an EBC CT023 holding tool to hold the clutch while removing the nut for the inner basket portion too.
The kit will come with everything you need *except* the rubber clutch hub cushions. If your rubber cushions have never been replaced (they should be replaced annually), you should buy a set of them. Rekluse recommends starting off with a new set, if yours are over a year old.
All parts you need are included. You use your old friction clutch plates.when I changed mine their is 6 dampener bushings that had play so I had to order before I could install new clutch assembly . The directions tell to check for play.
It has everything you need included. My friend also got the same kit, for his 14' 500, and he ended up getting a different "bellville" spring cause he experienced some slipping, but mine has not.
Everything you need to switch over to the Rekluse clutch is included. And the instructions are very easy to follow. It took me about 1 and a half hours to finish.
You don't need to purchase any additional parts for the Rekluse install. You will use your old clutch plates along with the Rekluse 3.0 package for a complete system.
Everything you need is in the kit , you will have to change your oil of course but that should be all if you haven't had a rekluse you are going to love it
How does the auto-clutch affect engine braking? I use the engine to brake often on steep and technical descents, and want to know if I would still be able to do that with a Rekluse installed.
BEST ANSWER:The engine braking feels like something half way between a four stroke and a 2 stroke. But it is basically nonexistent at very low speeds. If your riding style depends on engine braking you will have to get use to using your rear brake a little more. The nice thing is if you lock up the rear accidentally it doesn't stall. In tight single track it makes it easier to ride smooth instead of fighting the engine braking, but then again I am used to riding a 250 2 stroke.
I am riding a KTM 350 with the Radius and it provides a great balance of smooth in the tight stuff and quick on the track.

You will loose the ability to engine brake at low speeds. Once the engine reaches a certain lower RPM the centrifugal clutch system begins to disengage preventing the bike from stalling. This is great for tight trail riding so you don’t have to fight the clutch lever through every corner. I love mine on my Honda CRF 450 R but I live in Florida so we don’t have a lot of big hills where I would need to use engine braking as much.
Jason- that was something I was concerned with as well... however, it really hasn't been a problem. If your descending a steep hill and the RPM drops to low maybe locking up your rear brake all you need to do is blip the throttle and it's all good!
Engine braking is unchanged. It has fee wheeled on me just a few times. (very few) I was in too high of a gear when heading down a hill, while slowing down. Just drop down into the correct gear or give it a little gas. This unit is the coolest thing, you will enjoy it...
Engine braking still works. At really slow speeds, you may have to blip the throttle to connect the clutch and motor. Otherwise it is just like a normal clutch. On steep inclines, if you stall, you will not have any motor compression to stop the bike,
I have this clutch in 2 of my atv's and KTM450SXF-FE. When going downhill, I give them a little throttle to bring up the engine rpms and engage the clutch which in turn enables the engine braking.
It effects it a lot. if the engine is at idle or low rpm there is no engine braking. But is you blip the throttle a little bit it will engage the clutch and give you some engine braking.
The clutch did not affect my engine braking, I still use my gears to slow me down, so yes you will still be able to. Hope that helps it is a awesome clutch pack.
It depends on how slow you are going if you are going real slow it will free wheel I like mine keeps you from doing alot of clutching on tight uphill corners
BEST ANSWER:No. If anything it makes it easier to start because there is no drag when it’s in gear. Best purchase ever! I have 2016 ktm450 xcf (B class racer)I really like it. Also, there are no adverse effects to the clutch. If you hopped on my bike and I didn’t tell you I had a reckless, you’d literally never even know but it prevents a ton of stalling and difficult situations trail riding.

No. It can be difficult to tell when the bike is in neutral so it is a good idea to manually engage clutch before starting. This will keep the bike from taking off on you
No. But if your bike is not equipped with a neutral safety switch you will want to pull in the clutch lever or make sure the bike is in neutral before trying to start it.
No, I have started mine without pulling the clutch lever but it isn’t something that works all the time. It does make the clutch lever a little harder to pull.
No, I've had this on two bikes, yz250f and ktm 450sxf, both operated great. Bike starts normal. It's a great upgrade on four stroke, will make you faster.
BEST ANSWER:clutch'sBrian , not sure if it would be a deal breaker for me. I think the benefits out weigh the draw back of not bump starting. But then again I ride a lot of woods with some very hard hill climbs. Myself I don't understand why KTM stopped installing kick starters on the new bikes. I have a 2015 KTM 300 XC and a 2015 YZ250FX and they both have electric start and a kick starter and Rekluse clutch's . If I rode a lot of MX tracks I wouldn't think the rukluse would help you as much as it would in the woods
I have a 2015 YZ250FX also and was wondering how much of a game changer having the Rekluse on it. I race hare scrambles and noticed everyone running them but mostly on 2-strokes.
They do help a lot in woods and hill climbs and in muddy conditions so you can run in a gear higher and not stall. But is it one of those things you just have to have ? I would say no , they are nice to have , but they are not cheap. With that being said I run one in my fx and in my 300 xc.

I believe you can still bump start if u turn the slave cylinder screw out one full turn. Then turn it back in after it's started. Just carry the correct Allen wrench when u ride. Haven't tried this, but whenever I need to find tdc, I turn out the screw one full turn so that I can put the bike in gear and turn the back tire to turn the engine over.
I ride a Husqvarna FE 350, no kick starter and I also have the Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 There is a procedure for adjusting the clutch out on the trail, bump starting the bike then return the adjustment so that you can ride out. I have not had to do this but I keep the necessary tools in my back pack.
That is up to you. Personally, I like the Rekluse on the 4 stroke cause you don't have to restart after a get off. It also helps with racing Hare Scrambles as you get tired. If you ride in really remote areas, then I wouldn't go with the Rekluse to preserve the bump start.
You can bump start with the EXP 3.0. You just adjust the allen screw on the slave cylinder counter-clockwise about 1 turn and the clutch locks up like normal. Same thing you have to do when adjusting the valves and rolling the engine over to TDC.
Definitely not a deal breaker! The rekluse is awesome. I have a 450 xc-f with no kick starter, all you have to do is throw an allen wrench in your camel back. Back the slave cylinder adjustment screw out and readjust after you bump start,
If you read in the rekluse owner's manual I believe you will find that if you turn your adjustable slave cylinder all the way in it will allow you to bump start. You will however have to carry an allen wrench with you
its only a deal breaker if you have a low battery, which is the story for regular batteries. I suggest to get a shorai lithium-iron batt. and you will never have any problems.
BEST ANSWER:I have a 2013 350 EXC-F. Had a 3.0 for a few years, just installed a Radius CX myself. The difference, 3.0 to CX; CX comes with a Rekluse basket, a Rekluse cover, and one more friction plate and one more steel plate. Doesn't seem as though this cover makes it so the engine oil capacity is increased. I can still put my orange plastic Hard Parts protector on, just like over the OEM cover. I also changed back to a regular OEM BELLEVILLE SPRING (this doesn't come with kit, use your old one). Bought and installed the HD kind, the 280 psi option, with the 3.0. Thought I needed the extra 'strength'. The CX with stock 250 psi Belleville Spring works fine. No slippage. Plus it is much easier to pull cl. lever compared to having the HD spring. The CX works great. Maybe because it's new but seems smoother, more positive engagement. I also put in the lighter springs and the heavier wedges, want the clutch to engage sooner and quicker. The Rekluse clutch can be adjusted a lot. Can be adjusted to engage when you want, and can be adjusted so you can bump start the bike, and can be adjusted to have engine braking as much as you want.
Edit, from Steve; Sorry, I was thinking of my EXP 3.0, not the CORE EXP 3.0. The CORE does look like it comes with the hub/basket. Whether you get the cover depends on the model, from what I'm reading here at RM and at Rekluse. Still, looks like no friction plates come with CORE, just the steel drive plates. Friction plates do come with Radius CX. The picture shows the Rekluse for bikes with separate clutch springs for the clutch, which is different then those KTM clutches with the Belleville spring, also called DDS. For my bike, for $100 difference, why wouldn't you go for the Radius CX? One last thing; I'd order the washer that goes under the big nut for the hub. This is the washer you bend up around the nut. Wouldn't try to reuse the existing one. Also, both Rekluse clutches could be adjusted for engine braking and engagement using the adjustable slave cylinder, different stiffness springs, different weight wedges.
My I understanding is the Radius CX use’s Rekluse friction plates. Not stock with other. The CX plates are thinner but come with more plates than stock so they hook up better. Have them on my 2018 KTM 350xcf and it’s spot on. Clutch feels awesome!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You get friction plates with the RadiusCX and basically billet everything. If you’re looking at the $100 price difference I’m looking at it’s a no brainer. Go for the RadiusCX and know you’re getting every component you need for a completely brand new clutch.
BEST ANSWER:I didn't notice any change in the oil capacity on my 350. Before I purchased mine I called Rekluse directly with a few questions and they were extremely helpful. They have excellent customer support.

i have installed 11 Rekluse clutches and some of the recluse clutch covers are larger, but I have not noticed any sizable increase in oil volume to obtain the correct level.
BEST ANSWER:I'm not sure what you mean by the metals, maybe the clutch plates? If so you are probably using the wrong oil, possibly a synthetic which will cause problems.
I have 4 friends as well as myself that have a Rekluse clutch in our bikes. We all use "Shell Rotella 15W 40" oil. It is a diesel oil that not one of us has ever had a problem with.

BEST ANSWER:Call rekluse. One of the best customer service companies I've dealt with. (208)426-0659. They answered questions for me, few warranties, and put me in touch with pros for specific questions. Great

What makes the Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 better or different than the Rekluse Radius X? I’ve seen the differences in the Rekluse website but would like to hear why riders choose this over the Radius X.
BEST ANSWER:I currently run the 3.0. It’s awesome, I hold bet there is little to no feeling difference between the two. I had to use the 3.0 for my bike as it was a ktm. I’m running a 2016 ktm 450 xcf. I tell people that if you didn’t know it had a rekluse and rode it you would never tell the difference. The response and clutch action are literally the exact same but with the benefit of the rekluse when I need it. I would argue they probably feel the same and would even say buy the least expensive one that fits in your bike as it will do the same job probably just as well.
Makes sense. After reading some more last night I figured the old clutch basket has a lot to do with it cause if you need one and you get the Radius X then you’ll end up paying more than the 3.0. So I’m gonna inspect my OEM clutch basket and parts and go from there. Thanks for your answer.

The Core 3.0 comes with the new basket and some other stuff that is supposed to be lighter and help the clutch get better lubrication. I am a racer so better to be safe than sorry. The current one has around 500 hours (3 different bikes) and still works perfectly.
2017 ktm 350 xc-f: I was told the kit does NOT come with a cover. Is the cover necessary for use with my bike? And if I use the stock cover do I need a thicker gasket?
BEST ANSWER:Product note states: Some models include Rekluse Clutch Cover for trick looks, a strong guard against debris/brake pedals, and the room your clutch needs to work at peak performance.
You do not need the Rekluse cover to use a Rekluse Clutch Kit in your machine. The manufacturer states that you have larger oil flow for cooling which reduces clutch fade and slip. Components stay better lubricated and last longer.

BEST ANSWER:That would be a question for Rekluse. I would make sure of fitment through them or Rocky Mountain to be sure. A quick phone call would work.
