I always use Renthal grips on my Renthal bars. I normally use Renthal glue to stick them in place but sometimes use other brands of glue. They seem to stay in place when i use the Renthal glue. I can't stand grips that spin on the bars.
These grips feel great, and the soft compound is very soft and grippy. The soft compound isn't the most durable, but that's kind of the trade off for the grip they give. These grips are pretty thin, so they don't soak up vibration as well as I'd like, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
Have used these for years and they are my favorite grips. Just the right amount of tackiness and comfort without feeling mushy or disconnected from the bike. They damp vibration very well and help combat arm pump. They also wear surprisingly long for a soft compound grip. I've tried others but I keep coming back to the Renthals. They are tried and true. Used by lots of pros so how can you go wrong?
I get frequent blisters when riding multiple days in a row and have always used Firm hard grips because they last so long but I recently got these soft ones and My hands have done Much better without blisters. Yes they wear fast but as cheap as they are who cares I would rather not get blisters and pay a little more so I can ride without pain.
The black hard compound grip last forever, and I used spray hair wax (not regular hair spray) to put them on, and they slide on with no problem. Wiped away the excess, let sit for 48 hours and they are perfect.
The only reason these don't get a five-star rating is because they are super soft (which is why I like them but don't like them). This makes them very desireable, but not very durable. Utility rating: five stars. Durability rating: one star.
