This glue gives you time to put your grips on without drying. It sets up really strong, and I've never had a problem with pro taper or renthal grips turning. Just make sure you give it the proper time to cure before riding.
Easy to use. Enough set time to get the grips properly positioned. No overwhelming fumes. A must have, if using Renthal grips. I don't like safety wire on my grips, and this glue keeps my grips on without it.
I used this Glue for the first time when I replaced my old worn Hand grips. It makes installation so much easier. Clean the handle bar and smear on and slip the grips on, and clean up excess and done !! Not much faster and easier than that.
I prefer this grip glue over the other stuff Renthal and the other companies have, because it doesn't set so fast. It makes it much easier to work with and slide on. The only downside is that it's not something you can throw on and go riding an hour later, it's got to set for a while, but if you're not pressed for time and can throw your grips on the night before you plan on riding, this is without a doubt what you're looking for!
Good glue if applied liberally and safety wired right away, normally let the bike sit at least overnight for a full cure. Have not had any problems with grips rotating using the glue and the wire but if you are looking for instant adhesion results look elsewhere.
Spend the extra money on good grip glue. Next time I will buy the most expensive. I cleaned up my already pretty clean bars, and put the grips in place. Didn't touch them at all, for the entire week. That weekend up north they were moving around about 1/4 of a turn. Not too happy with this product.
you dont have to be a speed demon to use this glue. it works and even holds up to kids. if your using special grips and want them to look the same you can spin them and work them exactly where you want them. and in about 10 mins your good.
buy this product!!!
and buy it from the nicest people at rockymountain
I have been using contact cement for years. Decided to try this. How easy is this- put it on the bar, put the grip on, let it dry overnight and all done. We use safety wire just in case but no more grips getting loose. Well worth the money.
Great glue if you are using renthal grips. If you are using pro taper grips do not buy this glue. I have tried it with 2 different kinds of pro taper grips and somehow the glue eats through the grips and gets everywhere. Again works great if you are using renthal grips.
Supposedly you need this for the Renthal Dual Compound grips and that may be true. I used it on a pair of Domino grips and they came loose after a few rides. TECH NOTE: FOR USE WITH RENTHAL BRAND GRIPS
Very disappointed...used on renthal dual compounds
I have always been a Renthal fan and have always used their grips and other products for years. I was told that renthal dual compound grips needed renthal grip glue because other glues would eat away at the grip itself. So on my first use my throttle grip slid right off the next morning, second attempt I used super glue an it held great but that day I crashed and bent my bars. So I got twinwalls the next day and a new set of grips with renthals grip glue. Third attempt both grips spin even with wire on them...... I'll never use this glue again. I'm no rookie either I've been doing my own wrenching and numerous pairs of grips for years now. Renthal you can do better.
I like this glue the best if you have time to let it setup over night. I like that if you bend the bars or need to switch out a grip for some reason, you can spin off the grip and use it again. It still sticks good you can just re use the grip if needed which is nice.
