    It’s a real hand up.
I thought it would be to low for it to be much help, but it does help to get it up on the center stand.
It is very well built, feels like the same material that is used to for the crash bars.

A must have for the SW-Motech Centerstand
If you buy the stand, but the assist or you will have nowhere to grip when trying to use the stand.

    Sw-Motech Lift Handle on 2013 KLR650
A must need item if you have purchased the SW-Motech center stand for you KLR especially if you have panniers as lift points are minimal. It would be nice if SW-Motech included this when you purchase their Centerstand. Great for changing flats and general maintenance.

    Good farkle.
I put this handle on my 18 KLR in combination with the SW Motech center stand. This handle makes lifting the pig easy as pie. If you ride a KLR I would highly recommend the two as a package deal, you won't be sorry. I lifted my 08 KLR more than once off the ground without the handle but this will make it much much easier.

They shouldn't even sell a centerstand without this!

    Lift assist handle
Anything that will improve the raising of the cycle onto the center stand should be an improvement. If you install a center stand, do yourself a big favor and get one of these to complement it.

Can you remove the battery with the lift handle in place?
    A shopper on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I changed my battery, not once, but twice. Purchased and replaced original with same size as original. Did not have to remove lift handle, just tilted battery to accomplish change. Two weeks later had to change out again, as battery would not hold charge. Removed and replaced with lift handle in place. Bigger battery? Then you can remove one bolt and loosen other to rotate it out of the way.
Anybody know if this will fit the pre-2008 KLR650?
    Chris L on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: looking at gen1 pictures, i can't see why it wouldn't. gen1's appear to have the same passenger footpeg mounts which is where this handle is intended to be mounted. i say intended because when mounted there i personally found it to be way to low to be of any use. i ended up mounting it with one bolt at the main luggage rack bolt which allows the handle to swivel and is actually useful when putting the bike on the center stand.
Can this also be used with the Tusk pannier rack ?
    Anthony M on Feb 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have the Tusk rack and Large size pannier boxes. Everything fits - no problems whatsoever.
