Poor quality
Battery wiring is designed very poorly. After only 10 rides with this battery the soldering on battery was not secure and the wiring from the battery to the charge plug was fraying. It is now unusable until I can re-solder it. Would not purchase again.

Great Enduro battery
Great option for those who don't have room for a normal battery. Has great run time and powers all my turn signals and brake light on my motorcycle.

Good value
Added this to my XR650R. Patched my Honda AC into the Tusk wiring harness for the tail light and brake light, which is an LED aftermarket I added. Then used the battery just for the Tusk blinkers which were DC only, would not work with the Honda AC system. So powering just the blinkers and horn the battery should last a long time. It's a very small battery, wrapped in foam it fits nicely near the air box with easy access to the charger cord.

Can NOT charge from the bike!
While this battery plugs right into the Tusk Enduro wiring harness, there is no mention that you can not connect it to your bike's stator (DC regulator/rectifier). After the return period, I found out that this battery can ONLY be charged with the wall charger. There is no circuitry inside the battery pack to allow you to charge it from your bike without the chance of it catching on fire. So if you're converting your dirt bike and can plug it in every ride, sure - this tiny battery is great. Otherwise, move on.

Doesn't last long.
Good battery pack for the price. Charge lasts 6-7 hours. Small enough to put anywhere on bike.

Worked For Me
I used this Lithium Ion battery to replace a NI-Cad battery on a Baja Designs dual sport kit. So far it has worked better than the NI-Cad ever worked. It does not run down or discharge while sitting and not being used. It does require some changes however. I fit the mounting location fine. You will have change the voltage regulator output using a volt meter and lowering to 12.6 volts with all loads on as this is the maximum voltage for LI-Ion batteries. You adjust by turning the screw on back of regulator. It was factory set for around 13.7 volts which would be to high for this battery type. This is not plug and play it did require some tweaking to work for my system. Its only been 2 months so can't rate longevity yet, but it an option over the more expensive stock NI-Cad battery pack.

Does this battery have any protection circuits inside? What voltage should I adjust my regulator/rectifier to in order to charge this battery when the bike is running?

If I hook it into my current Honda XR650R dual-sport wiring, it will be charged by the regulator/rectifier (adjustable voltage).
Jason F on Dec 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not have a protection circuit inside the battery. The wiring harness this is meant to be used for has a 5 amp fuse to prevent overload from the battery to the lights. The charger that is included is a 12.6V wall charger that charges at a rate of 0.5 amps and is only meant to be used with that charger.
Will this battery pack also power a 12V headlight if I was to add it to the tusk taillight kit?
Vincent F on Sep 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will. You would have to tap into the battery wires to accommodate your headlight. Obviously this will drain the battery quicker but the Tusk lighting kit doesn't draw a lot of power so my Li-Po battery lasts a half dozen rides or so. I'd recommend one battery for the Tusk Enduro kit and one for your headlight. Hope this helps!
I have a light that is 18watt how long will it last?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not sure but I've had the kit well over a year and I did have to replace the battery pack once. My bike already has a headlamp powered by a stator only when runnning (no battery) If you don't use the horn you can go weeks without having to recharge the battery pack. The turn signals and brake light are both LED and are very bright and use very little power. Just use the kit as it specifies and you'll love it!
How long does it take to charge and how long does it last?
anthony c on Jan 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It takes about 4 hrs to charge a dead battery. how long does it last/ Well of course how much do you ride your bike on the hwy? for myself for a 4 hrs ride from my house I ride the hwy about 1/2 total then I have the ability to shut the rear light, brake and turn signals off, so i'm not using them on the trail. riding two rides a week it lasts me about a month.
How long does it take to charge? Mine keeps dying on me
Ryan R on Sep 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a Honda XR 650R with a Baja lighting kit. This battery burns out quickly if connected to my charging system.
I replaced two so far.
If you just use the charger that come with it and not connect to a charging system on your bike it works great for a horn or brake light. You can recharge the battery in about one hour with the charger it come with.
I hope this info helps you! Jack
What adapter does it have to plug into a light?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There is no adapter. I just cut the end off and soldered my own connector matching the headlight harness.
Has anyone tried hooking two together in parallel to increase the amp rating so the power will last longer?
A shopper on Mar 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I run just one it powers horn turn signals brake lite, speedo,if I only have to charge it every 4-5 weeks, the charge takes about 2 hrs

Would this battery be able to light a 6" or 10" led lightbar by chance?
CHRIS L on Jan 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If your light bar draws 2 amps or less it will. However if it consumes more you will need a charging system output of more than the amp rating of the lightbar to keep it lit for any length of time while engine is running.
Where do you guys mount the battery? Is it too heavy to mount to the backside of my headlight/number plate shroud?

What are the physical dimensions of the battery pack?
Edward F on Jan 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I mounted it in the airbox but it is very light - probably light enough to mount behind the number plate. Dimensions are roughly, off of memory, 3in x 3.5in x 0.5in

What is the max amp product I could use with this? I’m wanting to add a cooling fan but it will only run when needed. Fan is 3amp max with a 5amp fuse

BEST ANSWER: in the product description will tell you everything you will need.
Does this have the same install as polisport mmx headlight that was used in the tusk enduro lighting kit video? if so would it be possible to run two separate "TUSK ENDURO LIGHTING KIT REPLACEMENT LITHIUM BATTERY PACK WITH CHARGER". I talked to one of your helpers the other day and he said running one of the small to the headlight and the other to the rest of the the kit horn, lights, tail light, etc. is probably my best bet. At first he really wanted to just get a bigger lithium battery such as TLP7ZS but he soon realized my issue, I have the 2011 yz 450f and even though these aren't like the wr's I'm sure this would be my next best option. So my main question is is there a way I can hook the head light to the small battery because I already know the other battery can power the rest of the tusk lighting kit but it does not say anything about the headlight running of the little battery since I know its meant for wr models with a stator, I'm going with this led one to make sure I have the least power drain I can get.

Polisport HMX Headlight (LED Lights)
Polisport HMX Headlight (LED Lights)
BEST ANSWER: The tusk enduro lighting kit is designed to power everything except the headlight. The headlight is run from the power of the stator on a seperate circuit . If your bike does not have a stator you will need the extra battery to power the headlight. You will need to find out how long the battery will last. I'm guessing less than an hour. I recommend you get a lighting stator for your bike if you plan on riding at night or a larger battery
