These do protect your frame from unwanted wear on your dirt bike. They are made out of aluminum though and scratch a lot easier than I would like, but I guess that is what they are there for. I also wish they covered just a little bit more. They definitely do their job though and are easy to install and I can't complain all that much.
Ordered these to protect my frame and rear brake master cylinder on my 2002 YZ250. Yes, they fit on 2002s. Having previous knowledge that the frame is the same from 2002-2004, I ordered these and confirmed that they will fit on 2002 YZ125/250s. They look good, and are super thick and very durable.
These guards are nice, the instructions are easy to understand and complete. They seem to be very high quality and still look good after almost a year. I would like to have had a little more coverage. I just powder coated my frame and wanted to protect it. These don't go high enough up on the tubes to prevent some major scratches.
Machine this part was bought for: 2002 YAMAHA YZ426F
I have to recommend these to everybody who has a painted frame and wants to keep the paint intact!
They don't look like something not apart of a bike, there a great thing to have on it as it saves your paint work from getting all scratched up from your boots!
It was a bit of messing around to get these on as well as a Trailtech kickstand for my YZ 125 but i ended up using the bolt from the trailtech kickstand and shaving down a bit on the kickstand every so slightly to make it sit nice and flush.
