Great oil, a little expensive for just a liter in my opinion. It’s the only oil you should be using in kyb forks regardless of what anybody else tells you. There was just enough to do two forks on the newer generation kyb forks for Yamaha’s
Have had this fluid in my Forks and Shock for 10hrs of race de time now. I did notice and feel a big improvement in damping over the Maxima 85-150 I use to use. I am going to stick with Yamaha S1 Fluid for now on.
Best answer I can give you is, check your service manual. Otherwise, if you have a suspension tech, ask them what oil, and how much. Doing my own, I used almost 2 liters for forks alone. Per manual specs. A knowledge suspension tech will have recommended fluids and levels per setup.
I'm not 100% sure if it's made for the shock but I put it in the forks on my 2009 yz450f a year and a half ago and it's been great. I used 350 ml per side. 700 ml total. I bottle was enough and I still have some left over. Great product
