Already recommended this to some family members, got in a rain storm the maiden ride in it and the only thing that go wet were my forearms, gauntlet gloves would have prevented the water from creeping up the sleeve. One down side, while the zipper body is YKK the pull rope with plastic end seems cheap and I had one separate as I was closing the vents before the rain hit

Great value. Highly recommend
I live and ride in the PNW. i've had the pants and jacket for over a year now and have put about 3k miles in this gear. I've used in temps that range from high 30's to mid 90"s. It's obvious the design was well thought out. Ventilation is great and breathes well. The materials used is good quality and is holding up well. Protection is where you need it (first hand experience). I chose black but grey might be better for hotter weather riding. There are a few areas that could be improved:
1) Hard to open/close arm vents while riding. It would be nice to have this ability as microclimates change. sometimes you need just a small change to get comfortable
2) sleeve cuffs need to have a zipper or a larger opening to accommodate gloves with wrist gauntlets.
3) hydration sleeve on back needs to be larger. I put my 2L bladder in the sleeve first and then fill it up because cannot get it in once full. Once full it's hard to secure the velcro flap.
4) wish it had a little more high viz markings.

Coat upgrade
Have had for over a month . Fits good and is not constricting like my previous jacket. Sizing was on the line between XL and 2XL, went with the 2XL and is a little large with the liner out and just right with it in. Easy to adjust the size with the belt and straps. Have not ridden in the rain so can't say how the waterproofing is. Way easier to remove and install the thermal liner than my old jacket. Would buy again.

Great Jacket
I've had this Jacket since late winter/early spring. I've worn it in 30 degree weather and 80+ heat.
It feels good to wear, I used the removable liner in the cold, and it kept me warm. In the heat I removed it, opened the vents and it's stayed cool. At a stop, it can get warm, however.
The pockets come in handy.

High quality product at a a reasonable price
The overall quality of the jacket is outstanding. There are no other ADV jackets at this price point that compare and several that are more expensive that are simply not of equal quality. I’m 6’ 240lbs I have a 50” chest and a 34” waist, the 2XL fits true to size and the adjustable torso straps take up the extra material. Venting is decent but this jacket is very warm.

upstate adv rider
I purchased the ARC jacket and pants to ride in upstate NY. The jacket fit seems appropriate, although while I need the Large (according to sizing chart), the liner adds bulk that limits other layers. It is HEAVY(!) although most likely will provide protection. It seems very well designed and put together.

great jacket for the price
I am 5'10" 230 lbs. I measured 46 inches on the chest if I pulled the tape tight and 47 relaxed and loose measurement.
I got the XL and it fits snug but not tight with the liner in and perfect with it out. The jacket is very stiff and needs to be broken in. So far I am really pleased with my purchase.

Jacket feedback
I like the jacket so far. I swapped out the armor for the B30 from my old jacket. I'd like to see a zipper to join the jacket and pants in the rear, prevents droop for us nobut guys.

Is the armor removeable?
Mike S on Nov 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the pockets hold the armor in place and can be removed quite easily. I was even able to add more armor on top of the pads included. I put additional D3o armor into the pockets with the included pads just fine.
I usually wear mediums. I’m 5’10”, 170lbs, 40” chest. I plan on wearing my Fox Titan armor underneath the jacket. I hear they run a size small, so I thought about getting a Large. Will I be fine in a larger with the Fox Titan armor on, or should I get a XL? Or am I thinking too much...
Jordan O on Feb 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: these do have a liner so they are a little snug if you run that armor under neath i would say get the large but we do have our fit guarantee for this exact purpose. free shipping on the first exchange so you can try this out and see if it will fit. i hope this helped.
Medium grey is discontinued or just out of stock at this time? Had it in my wish list and it showed up as discontinued.
Matthew R on May 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are currently out of stock. The current ETA is for August.
Do the two pieces zip together at all?
Tadashi A on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do.
Should you measure your chest with or without armor? My question is does the jacket take into account such things like armor, base layers etc?
Mike B on Nov 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The jacket comes with armor in the elbows, shoulders and back. The thick material is very sturdy and I’ve never had an issue with rocks or dirt hitting me hard enough to feel it. I ride without any additional armor other than what comes with the jacket. As to the chest room, I have an extra large and I think there would be plenty of room to wear armor if you’d want to. The side since straps loosened up all the way should work depending on the size you order.
Is the gear waterproof, I've seen mixed reviews online?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’ve been riding for decades and have yet to find any gear that is going to keep you 100% dry while riding in a rain storm. I haven’t worn this gear in heavy rain, but I’ve ridden through creeks, splashing water all over myself and my bike without getting wet. The water runs right off of it. It is definitely is waterproof. Rain proof? That’s a different question altogether.
Which water bladders (make/model) fit in this jacket's hydration pocket?
Thomas D on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use a Camelbak Crux 2L Reservoir - it fits just barely by taking a few drinks from the bladder prior to placing in jacket.
Can you were a Leatt neck brace with this jacket?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I wear a Leatt neck brace all the time with this jacket. Fits great.
Do the zippered vents on the BattleBorn jacket allow air to pass through the outer shell AND the water-proof Z-Liner membrane or is vented air only allowed to circulate between the outer shell and the waterproof membrane?

Does the battleborn jacket and pants offer protection for street riding?
John W on Jun 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Full Disclosure, I have not crashed in them, but the jacket & pants certainly seem to be made for encounters with pavement. The armor is all CE rated and the construction (stitching, type and weight of fabrics, etc.) is similar to other adventure/touring gear -- think of the Firstgear Kilimanjaro for example. Only compromise is the hip armor which is foam padding but you will find the same on other touring pants in this price range and considerably higher.
How does the set hold up in 90+ degree temperatures? Will it vent well enough to ditch the mesh sport jackets that I always find myself riding in during the summer? How heavy are they?
Matt F on Apr 18, 2018
A.R.C. Battle Born Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. Battle Born Adventure Jacket
A.R.C. Battle Born Adventure Pant
A.R.C. Battle Born Adventure Pant
BEST ANSWER: Vents definitely help a lot! They're better than the foul weather A.R.C. jacket and pants by far. I rode in a muggy 90° weekend recently, and it was pretty hot still. The material is thick, but you'll be glad on cooler days, and if you go down. Mesh jacket if you have room in your luggage would be fantastic, but for me I like having one set of riding gear. Battle Born is a fantastic option for not packing extra riding jacket. In hot weather I just wear cool moisture wicking tank top underneath, and if you stay moving it's not bad with vents open (esp if you have a well vented helmet). Highly recommend this jacket/pant combo. The thermals make 30's° riding a non issue as well.
Does the main zipper have dual pulls so it can be unzipped from the bottom up?
Dale S on Mar 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The zipper was a little stiff for awhile but a little wax fixed that right up.
Does the black fade to purple or does it stay a true black? I’ve had black before that looks terrible after time
David C on Nov 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Honestly, I haven't worn mine enough to develop any fade. I've used the jacket occasionally and it's still the same color as it was new.
I need some sizing advice for this jacket. I'm 6'3", 240 lbs, wear a size 38 pant, have just under a 48" chest. I usually wear a XL in most brands. Would I need a XL or XXL?
Nick M on Dec 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Nicholas,

I'm about 5'" and my weight runs between 175 and 185 usually. It seems like I'm always between sizes on all of my clothes so I ordered the large jacket. The sleeves are a tad long for me, the end is about mid palm, but it's not a problem. The jacket has adjustable straps on the arms and waist so I think all you will need to do is get the size close. The arms strap has about 4" of adjustment and the waist strap has probably close to 8". I also prefer my riding gear to be just a little loose so I can layer when the temps drop, I'd rather go loose then tight especially with the jacket.
I plan to use the for ATV riding - How will this hold up to mud? What is the procedure to clean it?
Joe M on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This jacket seems very durable. It is really warm with the liner in. I ride in the woods and desert and it has survived well. Tag says to machine wash. NO tumble dry, NO Dry clean.
Is this gear actually waterproof? I have seen mixed reviews.
shayne s on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I've yet to wear it in the rain but by looking at it I'm thinking it will take a while to get wet
For those of you whom may have worn both colors of these jackets in the heat of summer; is the grey cooler than the black as one would assume, or are they the same?
Bill T on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have the jacket in black and I ride in Southern California. I have not noticed any issues with heat absorption. I’ll take the black over the grey just on that color to hide the dirt and bugs better. It’s a great jacket. Go with what you like and ride.
Are there chest pockets for armor? ( thanks )
Thomas C on Dec 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. But depending on what size you purchased and what additional armor you have, it is possible to wear additional armor under the jacket. I was able to wear my fox titan armor under the jacket comfortably.
Is there a ce level 2 upgrade option for this jacket and matching pants?
Jonathan M on Feb 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don’t think so. I looked into getting D3O armor and could not get any info from RMATV or D3O.
What brand of hydration bladder fits in the back? Where do I purchase?
David J on May 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Several brands will fit. It it will hold up to a 2 liter bladder. Also check to see if Rocky Mountain ATV has any for sale.
I am 6'4, 220 lbs, 36 waist, 46 chest. What size in both Jacket and pants? 😁
Steve G on Jan 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am 6’4, 200 lbs 34 W and 44 chest and the jacket in XL fits me good, but snug in chest. I use the adjustable waist to tighten up the jacket for a better fit there. Overall very happy with it, the arm length works. I passed on the pant because I have a 34” inseam and chose the icon Watchtower pants in their tall size. Very satisfied with those as well. Hope that helps.
I'm 6ft and 195lbs. What size should I buy if I want to wear Fox Titan armor under the jacket?
David L on Jan 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Probably large if you only wear the jacket with under shirt
Can you replace the armor with something stronger like d30?
Ian K on Dec 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can. I just recently upgraded the back armor, it was a little difficult as the hole to put it is place is a bit small, but it can be done.
Anyone have experience with this jacket and neck braces?
SCOTT L on Nov 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I own the jacket and I really like it, great ventilation for summer and with the liner and good base layer it is great for cold weather as well, also got caught in a pouring rain and stayed perfectly dry
Checking on the availability of size medium in gray. When will it be back in stock?

Checking in on pending availability of size small in either color. Neither shows stocked. Is there an ETA, or has this line been discontinued? If discontinued, are you planning on launching a 3rd version that I should wait for or look for another line?
