ATV Jackets

Do you go out riding in the cold? If you do, an ATV jacket is essential. You can’t be comfortable if you’re not warm, and that can put a damper on any ride. There are a lot of options when it comes to a good riding jacket, but it’s important to find one that best suits your needs.

One of the first things to consider is what temperatures you’ll be riding in with your jacket. Do you need something for the brisk fall weather? Or do you need a jacket that can handle the bitter cold of the middle of winter? Not all ATV jackets have the same level of warmth, and you don’t want to end up with something that won’t keep the chills out or that will heat you up too much.

It’s best if you can find something weather resistant. Waterproof is even better. You never know when you might get caught in the rain while out on the trails, and you’ll appreciate something that keeps the water out. Being wet on a cold day is no fun, and even an extra-warm jacket won’t cut it if the water seeps right through to you.

You’ve got to be on guard against water getting in, but you’ve also got to find a way to get water out – sweat. A little sweat can soak poorly designed gear and quickly become uncomfortable. A good jacket is breathable. If you spend a lot of time on your quad in the cold, you might even want to consider investing in a jacket that uses Gore-Tex or a similar material. This allows water out (sweat) without allowing water in (rain or other precipitation).

Finally, there are other things that you might find important, like color options or pocket locations.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC has a number of excellent ATV jackets that meet a variety of needs. Browse through our selection and pick the one that’s perfect for you.

    Pretty nice

Jacket seems to be nice but the shoulder pads always get in the way when you try to put it on just something to get used to

ARC Mid Layer Jacket Gets It Done!

First mid layer jacket that I've owned that has sleeves that are long enough! Sizing is right on, you don't want it to be baggy but slightly snug. Is warm enough to wear under my Klim Induction mesh jacket on mid fifty to sixty degree days. It's also a great off the bike mid weight jacket for casual wear. For the sale price you can't beat it!

    Tight!

Very well made and with the waterproof venting zips and flex fabric zoned bending points between the ballistic nylon fabric makes the this a great value! Fit is fantastic but, if you are accustomed to U.S. sizing order a size larger. (It it your real size fyi :)...). Looks tight! Matching pant fits even better!

Good jacket for cool weather. Sized a little big. B...

It is a great jacket, but the pockets are the slash type on the side with zippers, not the cargo type which usually are straight up and open at the top. With the zippers, up is closed, down is open. If you put something in there and zip them up the zipper can work its way down during a hard ride and everything falls out. Don't ask me how I know. Other than that, no other problems. The sizing is big. I usually wear an XL but it was huge. A Large fit perfect, just like anyone else's XL.

    Alright jacket

Sooo this is a nice jacket...! Really well made, looks great, nice pockets, the sleeves even come off which is great. However if your on the west side of the United States I wouldn’t recommend this jacket. It’s just a little to bulky and makes you feel confined when riding. You don’t have much maneuverability. Also the collar on the jacket doesn’t really sit down so it gets in the way of the helmet and you can’t move you head a whole lot. My suggestion would be to just layer up and wear a nice wind breaker over top.
