    Good cheap jacket!
I can't attest to the weatherproofing since it doesn't rain much here. 1st the bad, the jacket has minimal venting on arms and the back. It really needs chest vents!!! Especially in summer. The sleeves zip off but then you lose the arm protection. Also, they partially unzip on their own so that in winter it gets a draft in the armpit area. The jacket really shines in spring/fall riding where opening or closing the vents get you to just the right temps. I got this jacket because of the price and to daily wear on my commute to save my "good" jacket for real rides in more varied temperatures and in that capacity it is the perfect jacket for the price

    Pluses & Minuses
Pluses: Full featured: 9 pockets and a lumbar pouch. I like the styling. Fit is generous and will allow for layering. Sleeve adjustments. Decent venting at biceps and shoulder blades. Minuses: Flimsy main zipper. No waist adjustment.
Shoulder pads stitched in so that they flip over when pulling on the jacket. (Annoying) Bottom Line: It's a sub-$100 jacket. You are going to get what you are paying for, and nothing more. Be sure to use some Nikwax or 3M waterproofing on it for light showers, and expect to use raingear over it for anything wetter.

    Nice jacket for the money
The cheesy front zipper and some interior stitching will remind you that you get what you pay for, but beyond that, this jacket is great for the cash. Fit me perfectly in XL, very comfortable with lots of padding and pockets. Haven't tried it any weather below 40°F yet, but so far has been great.

Nice jacket for Dual Sport rides
I was looking for a durable jacket to wear over my chest protector and elbow guards. Removable sleeves are a nice feature as well. This jacket checked most of the boxes. I originally ordered a size large, but it was too big, so dropped down to a medium. It has plenty of pockets and a nice pouch in the rear to stash the sleeves.

I wore this on a 40 degree ride and it kept me warm. The materials seem durable and looks like it will last a while. As others have mentioned, it could use some dort of waist cinch, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

    Good value jacket
Lots of cool features on this jacket. Sizing is good except for there is no cinch for the waist, it is quite large. I love the sleeve gussets so you can keep your arms warm. tons of pockets, and there is padding in the back, chest, shoulders, and elbows. My only two complaints is on the right sleeve there is a pocket with clear plastic for IDs etc, and the first time I wore it the plastic cracked, and then with the zipper all the way up it was scratchy on my neck and I had to unzip it a bit.

Great features & value, bulky fit
I wanted a warm, wind/weather proof jacket to wear on late fall trail rides. Looked at a lot of jackets under $200 and this was a great deal at $80. Got it and tried it on, very cool styling, lots of secure pockets and velcro over the zippers. Exterior shell is a very heavy duty material like carhart jackets. Downside is the belly is too big - way too bulky. It fit well across my shoulders but in an XL, the mid section is much too large. also comes down below the waist which creates an awkward fit while riding. Otherwise, great jacket, fit just wasn't right for me!

Overall the O’Neal Racing Baja Jacket is well worth the money.
I was very impressed with jacket right out of the bag, it looks very high quality and stylish. There are an unbelievable amount of pockets, and the fit was perfect. The zipper pulls could be a little bigger, and the main front zipper can be a little clumsy. I went down hard on a concrete culvert pipe while wearing this jacket, and thought for sure it would rip. It held up fine and didn’t show a scratch! O’Neal has built a stylish, durable jacket at a very reasonable price.
