This is actually the third Fly hydro pack I've purchased. In my opinion, they are the best pack you can get, for the money. I have modified mine with a quick disconnect system for permanently mounting the mouthpiece on my helmet. That's the only thing I wish it came with. Otherwise, this pack is comfortable (even full), it has one of the largest capacities, and it's fairly durable. I've taken some hard falls with my first pack, and it took being run over in my last race for the buckles to finally fail. As long as they keep making this pack, I will always go back to it when it's time for a replacement.
Great, but it did not make it past the starting line
I thought this pack would be a great economical pack that would keep me hydrated through a hare scramble. I filled it up with water and put it on and went to the starting line. Before it was my classes turn to go, I could feel cold water running down my back. This bladder couldn't even last one race. I drank all the water that was in it so it would not be a waste. Looking at it after I got home i found it to be leaking around the fitting where you screw on the line to the mouthpiece. I would not recommend this to anyone nor would I buy another.
This works really good has some extra room to put some small things in. The only downside is the mouthpiece will fall off. I lost mine in the middle of my last race, it just pulled right out.
A internal water bladder strap broke on the first use and it needs a side bite valve other than that it fits over a chest protector easily and stays put.
Very nice to use on the trail. Slim fit, stays cold (with ice in the bag), and durable materials. Only downside is it can be difficult to get water through quickly but with the right bite on it, it will flow.
It's pretty cheaply made. My mouthpiece didn't have a hole in it when I bought it. They sent me a new one. I ended up getting a nicer pack as a gift, so I didn't use this too much. It wouldn't be a bad idea if you knew it was going to get destroyed in a long race or if you don't know if you will use it much.
The backpack is well made and has held up well. The water bladder had a slow leak in the lower seam within 3 uses. Found a heavier duty replacement for the upcoming season.
This is a great product for the money carries lots of water and has pockets
This thing's a lifesaver carries plenty of water for 4-Hour Plus rides and the pockets my plenty of room to take snacks tools whatever you might need very low profile I ride in the woods a lot and have not snagged it yet
I bought this for my son to use on trail rides. It holds 70 oz of water, which is enough for him right now. The weather is nice and he hasn't been on extremely difficult rides yet. My husband did just use it on a hard ride in the snow and liked it.
Lightweight, low profile, holds lots of water and has a pocket that will hold a few small things, comes completely apart for easy cleaning. Lots of water flow through the mouthpiece.
I wanted something small and light that could still carry enough water. This pack is definitely small, but still fits me even over my gear. I'm 6'2" / 240 lbs, so it should fit most riders easily. It has enough room to carry some tools, keys, cell phone etc and I don't even know it's there. For the price, you can't beat it.
Nice hydro pack that carries plenty of water and still enough room in pockets for a few personal items. Pack is very comfortable and can hardly notice while riding. would highly recommend.
Overall great product, I use it for cycling and riding dirt bikes. Stores plenty of water for an average trip and has plenty of room to store some extra stuff I like to bring along.
We bought this for my 13 yr old son. It's a smaller pack that seems like it's just the right size for him. He still rides with us in our group so he doesn't need a full days supply of water on his back.
Very nice Hydro Pack for XC racing...carries plenty of water and is controllable while riding. Ride open trails for miles and is nice to have water at your shoulder
BEST ANSWER:Plenty of room for spark plugs and wrenches and a few small tools. Maybe fit one spare tube at most. There are two pockets on this backpack. One, one right above the fly logo that is definitely big enough to carry some small dirt bike parts and maybe a wallet. And another pocket that zips open on the side that covers about half the area of the backpack.

BEST ANSWER:This hydro bag, in my opinion, would fit a younger child. It only has two shoulder pads and one strap that runs across the chest area. Others have chest and belly straps which wouldn't fit a child as well. As far as a place to hold the bite valve, there is a snap-in half ring that can be moved to either shoulder strap, and there are several other loops that the valve could be secured into also. I love this bag, the price is great, and it works well!!

Yes there is a clip to hold the bite valve in the front on the left or right strap. the pack it's self should be small enough for a 9 year old(smallest one physically that I have seen), but the strap in the front to hold the left and right straps together across the chest will not adjust very short as is, but I think it could easily be modified to adjust shorter. for the price I fell it would be worth trying.
