    Details

Fox Racing's Comp 8 motocross boot is the perfect mid-level boot for riders looking for a premium boot for a variety of off-road riding scenarios. The Comp 8 boot is built to be rigid and offer lots of protection. With injection-molded plastic strategically placed throughout, Fox has developed a strong and reliable boot. Fox has also paid attention to the small details that make a big difference – features like extra texture on the left side's toe box for extra grip on the shifter.

Another feature that makes the Comp 8 stand out among boots is the dual heat panel, with a stickier compound on top and a harder compound on the bottom. This – combined with the slim inside profile – makes the Fox Racing Comp 8 boot fit the bike well. With a light and comfortable mesh in the boot's interior, the Comp 8 also fits the rider's foot well (and wicks away moisture at the same time). Add in the suede anti-slip heel in the interior, and the Fox Comp 8 is not only a comfortable motocross boot but an extremely effective one as well.

The Fox Racing Comp 8 boot features a three-buckle design. The buckles are built with a secure cup fitting and are reinforced when buckled. The Duratac rubber sole is proprietary to Fox Racing and is built with a sticky compound for superb grip on the pegs. Additionally, the boot's sole includes a steel shank, giving the Comp 8 extra support.

The Fox Racing Comp 8 boot is an incredible mid-level boot that offers an excellent level of performance with every ride.

      Specs:
    • The Comp 8 features instant step in-comfort with minimal break-in.
    • It has controlled ankle support with zero bulging.
    • The sleek medial design with an integrated rubber burn guard makes for a precise connection with the bike.
    • The Comp 8 boot enjoys the same buckle system as Fox Racing's high-end Instinct boot, with a 2-into-1 lower strap design.
    • The boot includes an injection-molded plastic shin plate, calf guard, medial and toe cap.
    • Premium foam ankle support is provided along with a suede anti-slip in heel to keep the foot in place.
    • The Comp 8 boot features the exclusive Fox Racing Duratac outsole.
    • An integrated steel shank is in the midsole for added support.

    Love these boots
I've had some Scott boots in the past and upgraded to these and love them. Im a big guy at size 13 and the boots felt great once they broke in and i still feel that good balance between flexibility and support - hoping they last awhile!

Quality boot for the money. A bit small around my calf with pants etc on. Broke in fairly quickly and I will definitely buy another pair when need be.

Don’t waste your time or money
These boots are junk for a mid level price point. The buckles fly out of the boot so easily if they come unlatched during riding and they unlatch easily. And you can’t get just the part that flys out you have to buy an entire buckle kit for 25.00 with all the parts you don’t need.
Besides that the boots break down QUICKLY. The soles chunk off and the color flakes off the boot super fast. I’ve had them for a few months and they look years old. My alpinestar tech 7s lasted 3 years before they looked like these pieces of junk did in a few weeks. And they are the same level boot! Also they are so cumbersome.
Hard to kick the bike cost me a bunch of time at the hare scrambles.

    Awesome boots
I haven't ridden in 10 years so it took a minute to get used to them. I've used them twice and man they are awesome. So comfortable. I wear steel toe work boots all day so for me they feel just as good if not better than my redwings.

Poor quality and Fox will not back up their products
I have a set of these that developed an issue within two years of light use. Granted I am outside their "warranty" period but they will not help out. I would avoid these boot (and and other fox boots) based on the fact that these just won't stand up to a small amount of use and that the company doesn't not want to support their customers.

can i use these for quad/atv riding or these are geared more for dirtbike guys?
    Emmanuel R on Oct 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you're a super aggressive rider or racing, they will work. I would never grab these to go out and ride on our ATV. Lower, less stiff boots would be a better choice.
That being said... I freaking LOVE these boots. Straight out of the box and worn for an all-day thrash: they were amazing. Stability, safety and comfort for sure.
I wear a size 10.5, what size should I order?
    A shopper on Nov 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 11. I wear an 11 but had to wear a 12 in comp 5 boots. These fit a lot truer to size. Worst case they don't fit and you send em back for the smaller size. I originally got these in a 12 like the comp 5 but had to send em back and get 11. You can swap them no hassle
Hi I ride a Trx450r and do both aggressive riding and layed back trail riding. I am currently wearing comp 5’s and the stitching in the back all fell apart and I get water in them really easily. I want you know how flexabile and waterproof the 8’s are and if I should just get another pair of 5’s or upgrade to the 8’s???
    Dante D on Feb 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I had the 5’s before, I feel the 8’s ate much better. They are pretty stiff at first, they do pretty good when wet, unless your standing in a river or something. I’ve had no thread issues and they have been very durable for what I’ve put them through. I personally will keep running with 8’s.
I weight like 220 pounds and will be riding a 2018 yfz450 quad and it has some wide beefy stock pegs. In your opinion is the bottom sole durable?

How do you you adjust the buckles for bigger or smaller? Is there a release thing you push or slide in and out in a particular way?
    Emmanuel R on Oct 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi ! I ride a brand new KTM 250 SX-F it has some aggressive pegs also and I have put 12.5 hr on my new boots and have seen very little wear so far I've been very pleased with the durability. Buckles adjust with a ratchet latter that is fairly easy to adjust. Hope this helps overall I think its a great boot.
Do these fit tight around the calf or are they like the comp 5s?
    jake a on Feb 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’d say they fit slightly loose around the calf, but with knee/shin guards on they snug up nicely! Much nicer than the comp 5’s, only boot I’d buy other than the instincts!
Fox Comp 5 or Fox Comp 8 which is better? Why?
    Steven V on Feb 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Comp 8's are better. I just retired a pair of comp 5 for comp 8 and have experience with both. The comp 8 are more expensive for a reason. They have better ankle support. I did like the fit of the comp 5 a little better but comp 8 are more comfortable with better support. I've bumped trees with both and it was a lot less painful with the comp 8.
Does the comp 8 have the replaceable middle section on the bottom of the boot? So you can replace just that section when it wears out?
    A shopper on Jan 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No it does not but the soles on these boots are more wear resistant than expected! I’ve had mine for 3 seasons and am yet to barely scratch the surface
I'm thinking of buying fox comp 8 boots. They say they run small. I usually where a 14. Should I get the size 15?
    Jacob S on Oct 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: YES, I WOULD, AND I DID ONE SIZE LARGER TOO. IT IS A GENERAL RULE OF THUMB THAT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ORDER ONE SIZE LARGER ON ALL BOOTS.ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE A THICK MOTO SOCK OR WOOL SOCKS IN THE WINTER.

WORST CASE READ THE RETURN POLICY, RM-ATV IS AWESOME ABOUT RETURNING MOTO GEAR IVE ORDERED PANTS AND SHIRTS AND RETURNED THEM FOR THE RIGHT SIZE. EASY TO WORK WITH THEM.

I usually wear size 9 shoe, will size 9 boot be correct?
    A shopper on May 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We suggest going true to size in Fox Racing Comp 8 Boots. However, if you are a half size we suggest sizing up due to our boots not coming in half sizes. Hope this helps and happy riding!
Both my sons bottom straps fell off. I want to get replacement ones for the Comp 8's. I am not finding them on here. Do you sell them?
    GARRETT M on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not at this time. I would recommend contacting Fox directly for replacement parts.
What's the difference with the comp 180s and comp Rs? The R are the most expensive but I fail to see a major difference.
    A shopper on Aug 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Fox Racing Comp Boot is entry level. The Fox Comp R replaced the Fox 180. The Fox 180 replaced the Fox Comp 8.
Is there a helmet that’s matches the fox racing boots comp 8 (red white and blue)?
    A shopper on Jan 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All of Fox’s helmet colors match their gear. Check out the helmets and throw up a side by side comparison of the two. Plenty of options.
If the size boots I buy doesn't fit, can I send back for different size?
    Lauren M on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You sure can! Just make sure you do not go riding in them. We suggest trying them on inside and walking around in them in your home so they don't get dirty.
