  Leatt 3DF 6.0 Knee Guards Some reviewers were saying that the Large/X-large ran too small and to order the XX-large. Well I'm glad I didn't take that advise. I measured very carefully according to the instructions. My measurements were right in the center of the range and the Large/X-large fit perfect. The XX-large likely would have been loose. They feel perfect, not bulky and protection should be good.

  I wanted to try vented guards for summer. I can't really feel any air flowing under riding pants but it has to be helping some. Fit is good.

  Leatt Dual Axis Knee/Shin Guards

  Great Protection But too Big For Over Boot Pants

  This review is for the Leatt dual Axis guards. These knee guards have great protection, and are comfortable to wear. I used the sizing chart, and bought the L/XL which was slightly small for my 16.5 inch calves. I bought these shin knee guards to use with Alpinestars Tech7 Drystar enduro boots. These shin knee guards add to the already large top dimensions of the Tech 7 boots. This made the knee tight, and I could not get the zippers closed on the new MSR Legend pants. I tried on some MSR NXT in the boot pants, and they were still kind of tight in the knee. Bummer, because these guards are really nice. These guards are kind of overkill for me, so I am going to try the TP199 EVS.

  Finally found it!

  I like the old style knee guards but needed something with more protection. I tried the neoprene ones on the market but they were too hot for me. I've tried a bunch of different brands and wasn't really what I was looking for. I rode my first race with these this weekend. Impressive fit. Didn't move on my knee once I got them adjusted. No hot spots. Unfortunately, I got to "test" them on a rock slide . Went down on my knees, but felt a good cushion. Price is good for what you get. Very pleased.

  If you are average adult size get large.

  Love the fit. I'm 6'0" 190lbs with "chicken" legs and thought small/medium would fit but no chance so returned and got large they fit great. The compression sleeve inside is nice and really holds the whole system up. I feel great gripping the bike with these and they don't move around like hard shell ones do.
