As someone that where’s a size 14 and never able to find a decent set of MX boots and I tried them all at great eExpense now that I’m retired and riding trials I decided on the Garnier oil boots and I can tell you they fit perfect and comfortable . And very flexible The one thing I don’t like is the Velcro at the top closure I just don’t like Velcro but it does work as for protection I feel the foot is well protected my shins and calf are protected as far as ankle lateral protection goes very little be careful

Had other boots ,then got these and liked them , wore the first pair out then tried a few others, then went back to tech 7 , the best feeling and fitting for me ,also hold up for longer than the others Ive tried, The buckles can be a little hard to close sometimes, but all in all my favorite so far, I think anything Alpinestars above a tech 7 has a bootie insert and I had a Hard time putting those on.

Best boots for recreational riding. Lite weight. Tread helps when you need to pick up or push up a trail

Holy Moly! Let me just say that I have gone through a lot of boots but none like this. I have always ran boots considered budget friendly I've heard a lot of good things about the tech series and was planning on buying the tech 3's, they were sold out everywhere so I went with the tech 5. These boots are incredibly comfortable and light. For not being considered waterproof, they go a long way to keeping moisture out while keeping your feet cool. If I was forced to find a complaint with these, I would say the sole tread could be more aggressive. My pegs aren't grippy but the boots never slip off. The issue is walking around. It could be to scope out a section of trail or taking a quick break, these things don't really have the tread to walk around on. But these things are so good in every other aspect I couldn't care less. They are comfortable and bend at the toe in a way that helps you walk naturally, I'm an exact size 11 and these fit perfectly. I've gone rode for about 16 hours in these and will update this if the durability category changes.
