I have over 1,000 miles on the jacket and pants. To date, they have been waterproof and I have been in some major downpours, some for over an hour. The waterproof zippers need a good but of pull to get them to move which makes if more difficult to do while on the move when a pop up storm happens. They work great if you are stopped and do it. The same applies when the rain is over and you need to vent due to the heat, while riding, hard to get the zippers to move. The neck pull needs to be moved to the front or offset the side on the collar. Hard to reach at the nape of the neck, especially with a helmet on. If moved to the side, one could tuck the excess pull string into the collar so that it does not flop around with the wind. The back pouch for the water pouch is a good idea, but poorly thought out. There is no where to route the bite tube and it would just flop around. There would need to be a means to secure the bite tube in place and within reach to be useful. Otherwise, they should remove this pouch all together and cut a little cost of of manufacturing. All in all, I highly recommend this and would purchase it again. I compared this to other gear and the cost savings was worth it and I do not feel like I would have gained anything by purchasing other gear over this MSR gear.

Great value for the gear! Very stiff out of the box, but 1k miles in and it's starting to loosen up around the shoulders and elbows just enough. Arm/back vents provide decent airflow, but still a bit warm in 80F plus temps.

I tried on many different brands and found this jacket to meet all of the requirements. Affordable, well-made and adaptable. I love that you can wear the thermal liner as a jacket on it own, this is super handy when camping. Also, you can wear the rain jacket as a liner or on the outside for water protection. Very happy with this purchase

Simple summer riding jacket. It flows a lot of air. True to size. It effectively protected me when I was T-boned on my motorcycle. It remains my primary riding jacket in the Spring and Summer. I purchased the optional back CE armor. Simple jacket just the two side pockets.
