  Outstanding boots for adventure riding.

  Outstanding boots. Bought them for my Pittsburgh to Alaska/Yukon Territory trip. Just returned Saturday after 21 days covering 9,717 miles. Wore the boots through rain and mud and hot (stupid hot) and cold conditions. No, they're not vented or cool in the 90's but they unbuckle easily and that helps somewhat. Broke in in no time (I didn't even try them on until the night before the trip) and the size 45s fit my 10 1/2 -11 wide foot perfectly. They were more than I needed on the highways and byways, but everything I wanted when I was at risk of falls in some of the terrible (exciting?) road conditions.

  I was skeptical that these would fit as I have 17.5" circumference calves and a foot that leans towards towards the wider side of "D" width but am happy to report that they fit quite well. This is my first pair of MX boots so I don't have anything to compare them against but they feel like the offer a good mix of flexibility and protection. As a dualsport rider that rides a mix of forest roads and boulder filled singletrack I think these are pretty good.

  Hard to shift

  Love everything about the boot except the sole. The deep lugs makes it very hard to maneuver the foot around to shift. It may just take some getting used too. Feels like your are stuck to the pegs sitting or standing. The fit, is spot on for my foot, looks great, feels great, enough flex in the ankle to walk fairly easy. Only a few short rides so far but that is my biggest complaint.
