Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41 Rear Motorcycle Tire
I was heading to RawHyde in Colorado for the High Rockies Adventure Rides and needed some off-road tires. Saw the promo on the Adventurecross and had been pleased with Bridgestone in the past. So I jumped on them and installed them on my 2017 BMW GSA.

I put 2,000 highway miles on them driving to and from RawHyde and about 400 off-road miles while there. So far tread life is good.

On the highway they do howl, but they are a 60/40 tire so I think its expected. It seemed like they were more quite at 70-75 mph then at 55-65? Maybe it was my ear plugs? In the twisties they were good. Easy turns and no drop off. I tend to take it easy in twisties with knobbies on, but they performed very well on pavement overall.

Only had a small stretch in the rain and it was mostly down hill on Monarch Pass, so I cant really evaluate that.

They were really good on the HRA. They were stable and grippy in the rocky and sandy areas. Front tire did not feel squirrely at all. Traction off-road overall was great.

One note, max PSI for both tires is 35. On my GSA it did cause tire pressure warning on the rear tire.I attribute that to the TPM system, its used to a 42 PSI tire and once the PSI drops to 33.5 PSI you get a warning.

IMHO, the Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross is a great tire and I will buy again.

As good as it gets in 50/50
These are comparable to TKC80s in offroad traction and dry pavement traction but are superior in terms of durability and wet pavement traction. They don't last as long as harder tires like Heidenaus, E07s, or tractionators. I bought a second rear tire while the rebate is still going.

    Great 50/50 ADV tire
Comparable to Tkc80 at lower cost, especially with rebate. Hope Rocky Mountain keeps these prices, I will purchase again.

Great tire! Wears quickly though (as you would expect). Excellent off road and good on the road.

    Overall great performance tire.
I got this tire because of a video review I saw that was well done, the rider put it trough all types of terrain, from snow to sand. Plus the sale and rebate made the set $220, which is hard to beat.
Mounting: front went easy, rear was a pain, very stiff, I had shinkos 804/805 and were not nearly as hard to mount. I was starting to damage the bead with the spoons, so I stopped and took it to a
Professional. So rear tire trail repair is tough unless you run tubeless

Weight: as said, these tires are stiff, which if you are the type of rider who airs them down, it’s a plus, but they are heavy.

Tread: loud, it whines pretty loudly at high speeds, but I wear ear plugs so I don’t really realize it. Profile is nice and predictable, smooth transitions into the turns. Can’t say how long it will last but it’s pretty soft so I suspect longevity similar to tkc80.

Traction: wonderful feel and traction in all situations, just did the SM500 on it and went through gravel, dirt, mud, pavement, wet pavement. They gave me confidence to be more aggressive on brakes in the dirt and never skipped a beat. Hard braking in corners on pavement too on the dragon and scraping pegs without weird feelings, just felt solid and planted.

Overall at the sale and rebate price, this tire is hard to beat, even if it wears quick, it’s a steal. Once the sale it’s over I might not buy it again, although it performed great, and I really like it and would definitely recommend it, it seems to be on the pricey side at regular price.

Battlax Adventurecross AX41 on a big adventure bike
I used these tires on a big adventure bike through death valley sand and hardpack dirt roads. I was impressed with the traction on the asphalt and dirt. The front tire is a bit noisy on the asphalt, especially when it was wet between 50-65 MPH. I would rate this tire as better than the TKC 80 for traction and about the same for wear.

Great initial feel after scrubbing in
I just mounted the AX41 adventures on my bike. I'm quite impressed with them.
My initial ride was from my house on hardtop for 5 miles to the Sunset summit where I got onto logging roads and broke them in a bit. There was a lot of loose gravel and they gripped very well. The front tracked easily without wanting to wander much if at all. On the asphalt I could feel a difference from the K60 as this has a round profile and leans in easily.
I took it in some remaining snow to test it. There was still 6" to play in and these tires pushed thru quite well. I know it's not a TW250 but had to see how they worked in the event I ever have to forge thru a snow storm. On hills with washboard, I never felt like it wanted to get away from me both ascending and descending. Once back on pavement after a good aggressive scrub in off road, I pushed them a bit on a spirited ride thru some twisties and wet roads after sunset. They have good feedback in the corners and don't feel like a knobby at all. Bridgestone did something right with the release of this new tire.
Got them from Rocky Mnt on a good sale plus Bridgestone has a 60$ visa card promo on them as well. There is also a good review from online from another shop on these where they end up in rain and they take them thru a pretty good ride.
I'll update on wear as the season progresses.
