Details

An extremely popular choice for a do-it-all tire, the Bridgestone Battlecross X30 Intermediate Terrain Tire has made a name for itself by having great wear, predictable handling, great grip, and a few unique features.

First are the large, raised tread bars spread around the center belt of lugs. These not only help support weight and extend tread life, they also increase the contact patch between the tire and ground.

The other lugs are specialized as well with asymmetric patterns full of convex tread blocks giving large amounts of grip. The rear tire even has cooling "fans" that improve heat dissipation in the tire so the psi won’t climb during a race and change your tire’s handling.

    Specs:
  • Great option for an all-around tire on most surfaces
  • Raised center block pattern enhances traction during braking and acceleration
  • Asymmetric front tire block pattern with optimized block placement achieves stable grip during braking and cornering
  • The edges of the convex blocks catch the track surface and achieve high grip on a wide range of terrains
  • Provides high contact pressure against the track surface to enhance traction
  • Rear tire has cooling "fins" to improve heat dissipation for consistent performance over race distances

X30 vs. X40
The x30 and x40 rear tires are both really good tires. They wear even and no chunks. They actually seem to wear very slowly compared to other tires I have bought. Now for the X30 and X40 front tires. The X30 intermediate terrain is a very good tire and wears slowly. BUT the X40 being the hard terrain tire sucks. This tire wears faster then a eraser on a pencil in art class. Never have I seen a front tire wear faster then a rear. So If you need the X40 rear go with the X30 front. You will be glad you did. The X30 set is my choice for both hard and Intermediate terrain.

Great all around front tire.
Favorite front tire for a long time. Lasts a long time and hooks up well for turning, even when worn. I’ll keep buying them. I rode desert and enduro and it works well for both.

Great all around tire.
I have ran these rear tires on several bikes. The one thing they do very well is side bit. They hold on off camber very well. They really don't do anything bad. And work pretty good in most all areas. Mostly use in east TN gnarly trails.

Another great tire for the price
I got this tire because the tire on the bike I bought was worn out. I am no pro so, for what I need it for, it works great.

For pacific northwest motocross tracks would I be better suited buying a 80/100x21 or the 90/100x21 in the x30 tire?
Adam H on Apr 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Optimum tire size and type will vary depending on soil type, track conditions and bike application. As a general guideline, if the track is softer and has a lot of ruts, the 80/100 will be preferable because it will not tend to grab the ruts as much as the wider 90/100. If the soil condition is dry without ruts, the 90/100 will probably be the better choice.

Thanks!
