The ideal blend of performance and affordability, Dunlop’s new Sportmax Roadsport 2 radial tire is finally here. Sitting between the budget-friendly Sportmax GPR-300 tire and the high-performing Sportmax Q3+ tire, the Roadsport 2 is as innovative as it is inexpensive.

The Roadsport 2 received two major updates from the predeceasing GPR-300. Primarily focused on high performance, especially in wet conditions, Dunlop redesigned their tread for better grip and stability across the variety of surfaces the modern rider encounters today.

Utilizing special Dunlop technology, the Roadsport 2 also features Heat Control Technology, or HCT. This unique design involves advanced tread architecture, using a different compound for the outer layer and base layer of the tire. This allows for different heat characteristics at the base of the tire compared to the outer shell, optimizing overall tire performance. Other technology like Dunlop’s Jointless Belt (JBL) construction for more response and better braking, as well as their Carcass Tension Control System (CTCS) for smoother distribution can be found in the tire, too.

All of Dunlop’s ingenuity in one, cost-effective tire – the Roadsport 2 offers versatile performance for all riding styles in all conditions.
    • The Dunlop Sportmax RoadSport 2 is a sport tire ideal for riders who want performance and value.
    • Nimble performance and quick turn in allows for enhanced sport performance.
    • Enhanced wet and dry grip.
    • Quick warm up.

    where are these made?

BEST ANSWER: These particular tires are made in Japan by Sumitomo Rubber, which is a partial owner of Dunlop. I've run Michelins, Dunlops and Metzelers on my K1300S. I ride the Angeles Crest Highway a lot and the road surface is very coarse. It tends to chew up tires very quickly. When I'm out touring I get outstanding mileage for the price. Even though Metzeler is a German company, the front tires I've purchased were made in China.
