Superb traction
The radial trials tyre with a tubeless rim - or Tlibiss system on standard rim is fabulous. WITH low tyre pressures. I find they need to be 5psi or less to perform.
Tyre life is excellent, lasting numours knobbies. That is for lower speed type riding. High speed in rocks/desert and they likely would be awful and not last long.
But take them in the slimy roots, logs, mossy rocks- they a great. They wrap right around stuff rather than deflect, and allow superb traction both acceleration and braking.
BUT- you cannot spin them or lock them up and acheve this. If you know how to keep from spinning or locking the tyres up- you will be happy.

Blew my mind!
This tire came highly recommended to me, after always running regular dirtbike tires and having trouble in some areas of single track when friends would run rite thru it like nothing I finally decided to give this trials tire thing a try and I couldn't have been more impressed! 4 of us rode buffalo mntn at Hatfield, all on the same bike and years of riding experience, 2 guys had regular dirtbike tires and me and the other guy had this tire and it was honestly sad how well we did with this tire on the nasty sections and hills compared the other 2 guys. I now have 2 of these tires both with tubeless and I'm hooked!

IRC TR-11 tubeless rear tire
These tires can't be beat for trials work on my BETA EVO Trials bike, great grip and with nice soft knob's but good wear capability i change these every two seasons which is about 80 to 100 hrs of competition. i run 4.5 to 5.0 psi in all types of terrain, mud, granite, lava. great value and great consistency. i feel these tires give me the edge on the competition

Awesome grip with rtough sidewalls for Tubliss
IRC TR-11 front tube-type running low with Tubliss lasted 1700 miles and 184 hours (95% dirt) but the sidewalls are just not strong enough.

Eventually there was a "flex zone" along the sidewall and cuts appeared.

IRC TR-11 rear is tubeless with strong sidewalls and is still running even though the knobs are down to about 2 mm.

I replaced the front with a Pirelli M43 which is looking good so far.

I will soon buy the same TR-11 again to replace the rear. The tread rubber is like tough closed cell foam. Extraordinary grip. And I expect the first one will go to 2500 miles so that is not bad.

Excellent tire for enduro racing
Trials tires work really well here in the Ozark Mts for enduro racing and single track riding. I was a big fan of the old Michelin trials tire before they sadly stopped making it, and the new Mich trials tires are both more expensive and inferior in performance, not a good combination. I tried a few other trials tires to find the right replacement, and this is it. Excellent traction, the equal of the old Mich at least, and great durability. I've run through 2 of them now and each one has been awesome.

My favorite trials tire !
Great tires ! Prefer the IRC over the Dunlops. Great feel and hold up very well. These are on my Gas Gas TXT250 and look forward to running them on the GG Raga 300.

IRC Radial Trials Tire
I use these tires on the rear of my KTM 300 XC. They deliver excellent traction in all conditions and long wear. I use the tubliss system and am very comfortable runnning higher speeds with this tire. I previously used the michelin tube type trials tire, which also delivered good traction. However, it was considerably more unstable at higher speeds.

Excellent
I go back and forth between these and the Michelins - I honestly think these are a great value for the money - soft enough for great grip and still wear quite well - I use them on enduro bikes but have used them on my trials bike (when I had one) as well.

Don't Buy if you ride faster than 40mph!
I bought the IRC TR-11 trials for the 2011 LA-B2V dualsport ride. On pavement, if you exceed 40mph the sidewall flex is so bad it is difficult to control the bike. On dirt roads it's a little bit better, you can get up to 45 or so before the wobble gets too bad.

However, if you never exceed 40mph, the tire is amazing! Great hook-up in all conditions, including sand washes. Climbing decomposed granite and stair steps is a breeze. Wet, loamy soil is not a problem either.

On day two, after @ 100 miles of powerline roads & jeep trails, the center row of knobs had sheared off completely - all the way around the tire. With the center row gone the tire was fairly stable up to 50-55mph on graded dirt roads and pavement.

Great tire for slower trail riding. Stick with a MT43 for dualsport use or high speed conditions.

Is it a radial?
A shopper on Feb 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. FWIW - this is an incredible tire. Super soft yet wears really well. I use then in very aggressive granite rock and surprisingly the IRC's take it really well. Run it at 4.5 to 5 psi. I have never had a failure or puncture - I probably should find some wood to knock on...
What’s the difference between the ‘tube type’ and the ‘tubeless’?
MICHAEL C on Jun 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: My understanding is the tube type is NOT a radial design. I would expect much stiffer sidewalls- likely to perform much more like the MT43 Pirelli.
I certainly could be mistaken on that, but that is what I understand.
