Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

    • Revolutionary compound by Metzeler Sportec M3 delivers high motorcycle tire grip under the heavy power delivery of the latest high-performance sport bikes, while providing excellent mileage and a high performance level throughout its life cycle.
    • Metzeler Sportec M3 motorcycle tire Compound and advance motorcycle tire tread pattern inspires confidence under wet conditions and reduces hydroplaning.
    • Metzeler Sportec M3 motorcycle tire profile is balanced front and rear to enable the rider to get the best handling from the motorcycle and provide excellent high-speed stability.
    • All-new 190 profile delivers specific pressure distribution to create an optimal motorcycle tire contact pattern.
    • Tread pattern provides grooves where needed for drainage and compound only where grip is required most on the Metzeler Sportec M3 motorcycle tire.
    • New aggressive motorcycle tire design accentuates the look of the motorcycle while the tread design promotes uniform wear.
    • Improved motorcycle tire mileage thanks to Metzeler's combined compound pattern development.

Great tire but will not last long on a liter bIke ...
Tires don't last long with me and I've used them all from Q3's to S21's to contimotions usually tires last from 1700'2000 miles but the M3's didn't even last 1600 and that is unacceptable .. I'm a aggressive rider and we drag a knee every Sunday and love to really get on my bike coming out of a deep turn or off lights and with my liter bike I learned to expect low milage on a good race tire but 1600 miles is stupid and for me that's about 1 month maybe 6 weeks so it's back to another brand .... but I have to say It felt great on the bike and never let loose unless I wanted it too and even was good when I got caught in the rain one time .... so great tire for low milage riding

    Great tires and value
I an running these (front and rear) on a Yamaha WR450F supermoto set up on the street and they stick like glue...confidence inspiring for sure. They do not take long to warm up at all, despite the light bike weight and are a very predictable tire. Metzler is really good quality stuff.

    Best All Around Tire
There are better tires for track days, better tires for canyon carving, and better tires for rain. If however, you want one tire that can do it all well there are no better tires than these.

    Best tire, hands down
Tires are such a subjective subject, and everyone rides a little different, in different terrain and under different conditions. Most even have different expectations of their tires.

I have ran no less than 6 different brands of tires on my bike now and these have lasted the longest, offered the most feedback and given atleast as much grip in all conditions as any other tire I have tried. These are what I will run on my bike for the rest of the bikes lif, and I expect that to be atleast another 100,000 miles.
