      SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

      WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

The Pirelli Angel GT is the ideal tire for those riders who want to travel long distances with a passenger and the bike fully loaded, or who simply take a ride in the country, but also for those who want to use their bikes all year round, both for recreation and commuting. All of this is true no matter what the bike is used for, whether a touring bike, a street enduro, naked or sport bike.
    • The Angel GT was designed for the primary purpose of providing regular wear and excellent water drainage guaranteed by both the front tire and by the arrangement of the grooves on the rear tire.
    • "A" spec front tires feature a 2-ply, reinforced carcass for heavy-duty sport-touring models.
    • Extended Mileage Sport (EMS) - best in class for mileage and grip.
    • Ideal for sport bikes that require increased mileage without sacrificing grip and traction.
    • "W" rated for speeds of 168+ mph.

    Great Price, Quality Tire
I love the Angel GT tires. The first time I replaced tires on my first bike, I bought Angel GTs at the suggestion of a friend and never looked back. They are very confidence inspiring and I feel like I'd have to be riding well outside my ability to lose traction with them. Great tread life, traction and wet grip and Rocky Mountain ATV MC has the best price around. I'll definitely be coming back when I need another set.

As with the rear, the front tire holds very well and is MUCH more stable on poor roads surfaces. I did fir the Angel GT "A" spec tires front and rear, as I do load up and ride a few thousand miles now and then.

    My new "Go-To" tire
OK, my new BMW was equipped with PR4S tires, while good they were noisy and did not inspire confidence entering tight corners and a sporting speed. I tossed the PR4S tires in 3k miles and they had tons of miles left in them.

Knowing that I had a long sporting ride coming up with 32 friends on many true sport bikes I wanted my big 2016 R1200RT Beemer to keep up with them. So I shoehorned on a set of these from Rock Mountain ATV/MC and from the first 50 miles I knew I made a solid decision.
After taking bout 50 miles of twisty back roads I had a smile that grew with inspiring me with confidence in these tires. They are very quiet, they roll smoothly into corners and provide a easy feedback all the way to their edges. They made my 600 pound beast feel 100+ pounds lighter. They offer fantastic stability even under strong braking.

Ok, I guess I've talked about its sporting manners in a A spec tire, but on a recent 2k mile trip they worked seamlessly in the rain with great adhesion. Last week riding 2-up they also performed flawless.
When you ride a bike and do not even notice any issues from tires, for me thats a good tire.

Best Tire for my 2007 R1200RT
After having used numerous sets of Michelin PR-3 & 4 GT's, I switched to Pirelli ANgel GT "A" tires, front and rear.
I get about the same mileage as the Michelin PR-4-GT's, but there handling is flawless even in wet and dirty conditions.
I normally get around 7,000 miles out of these tires.

Great price on a great tire
The A spec tire is perfect for my K1600GT, being a bit on the heavy side with allot of power, the K16 is a bear on tires. This tire was recommended by many others who ride the same bike and they weren't wrong. Very nice tire. I'll have to wait to see what type of mileage I get. The PR4 tires gave me decent life, about 4000miles, I hope this one does at least that many.

I expected more from high dollar tire companies than this
Flat spot at 5500 but still had tread left would make it another 5000 if you reordered a rear so I don't think they are a good value

Great tire for heavy touring bike
This is my second set of Angel GT tires. You probably won't get the same mileage as some competing brands, but you will get the best gripping tire.

? Im trying to decide on the a spec or standard carcass. I ride miles with loaded side bags, top box and myself. I'm 5'11" and an ounce under 300# before lunch then I'm over.

My rides tend to be 100-500 miles at a whack depending on my riding partners and our mood. It's not at all out of the realm of possibility to go 600-100+ on a ride either.

What are your thoughts on getting the standard carcass or the a spec?

My ride is an 08 Bandit 1250 S with ABS.

I'd appreciate any input or feedback. Thank you.?

BEST ANSWER: I run the A spec carcass tire but I’m on a big R1200RTW BMW and carry a lot of extra weight. Your weight and your bikes weight in my opinion does not warrant the A spec carcass. The Angel after using soo many different brands is my “go-to” tire. Quiet, smooth “turn-in” design, excellent in water or dry. Matched with Pirelli Angel rear is one of the smoothest out of all brands, I might rate the Dunlops behind the Pirelli
