All of this is true no matter what the bike is used for, whether a touring bike, a street enduro, naked or sport bike.

    • Extended Mileage Sport (EMS) - best in class for mileage and grip.
    • Ideal for sport bikes that require increased mileage without sacrificing grip and traction.

    Great tire
Have used 8 or 9 sets of these on 2 Fz1's. One set got 12,000 miles, usually closer to 9-10k miles. Depends on the type of riding. Excellent handling and steering characteristics. More grip than some of the tires I used to race on years ago. Will try the GT2 next.

    Great Tires
I am now on my second set of these tires, I got almost 18K miles on the front tire. I am an older sport rider riding a 1200S Bandit. I am very pleased with the performance and life I still have tread left on the rear and will change it in about 3K. It has squared the center from super slab high speed though. I like these tires!

    Angel GT front
I burned through many of these on my FZ1, RSVR and ZX9R. The handling and performance was good, for awhile. I have my knees on the ground consistently so aggressive lean angles. The GT front has good traction but due to the dual compound the profile wears into a ridge at the compound transition point and the soft side compound always wears down before the center for me. Handling becomes terrible once that plays out. Sides are bald and middle still has half tread depth. I’ve begun experimenting with other front tires particularly single compound as I might as well have soft compound in the center wearing similar to the sides and hopefully maintaining a round profile without forming that ridge that’s so aggravating. I’m a 1% rider so my fun is others terror. This tire wear behavior may not be experienced by less experienced and less aggressive riders. I’m not convinced these are worth the extra cost if you end up throwing away a tire with good center tread still.

    Great tire for it's purpose.
This is a sport touring tire but most sportbike riders will find this to have plenty of all weather grip for their needs. Recommended for those that like to daily their bikes.

    Uneven wear in front
It seems that the hard compound is a little too hard because I ended up with a cone shaped wear pattern on my front tire. The rear is great and the traction is great on both.

What does the "Z" stand for in a tire that is 120/70zr/17? I'm looking to find what the difference is from a 120/70r/17.
    A shopper on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: A Z designates that the tire is rated for high speeds, 149+ mph. R designates that it's a radial tire.
