Optimal choice for professional training and amateur to semi-Pro racers who ride all types of terrain and demand performance lap after lap especially under "race simulation".
  • Surface area and compound's carbon black structure for balance between stiffness, reliability and lasting performance.
  • Grip and traction on a wide range of terrain (from mid soft to mid hard).
  • Perfect application for training; optimal compromise between performance and durability.
  • Tread pattern taken from previous design with the rear's layout rigidity improved through "bridges" and a front similar to the Scorpion MX Soft 410.
  • Multi-ply carcass with high resistance to punctures but maximum flexibility to absorb forces during jumps or obstacles.
  • Training performance in all terrain conditions with uniform knob wear, resistance to deformation while damping and thus extended durability.
  • Front knobs: arrow-like layout and side knobs for directional accuracy and straightaway visibility; V-shaped knobs improve braking stability and cornering side hold.
  • Rear knobs: maximum traction on all terrain applications.

Fantastic!
Tire is awesome, it's the only one I run on my 2017 KTM 450. Holds up better than any other brand out there. I can practice and race on this tire with minimal wear.

Great intermediate tire that handles well and last a long time
This tire came stock on a bike I bought a few years ago and it work really well I didn't know if it was just the bike or the tire until I change it to another brand and realized it was the tires. currently I have them on my new bike and I absolutely love them in (mid to soft Terrain)

Tried this tire out this year because I've heard good things about Pirelli tires from a few friends of mine. I ride in North Idaho, fire roads, single track with a lot of loose rock, and hill climbing. This tire has held up great to the abuse of the PNW. The compound is a little hard but it has worked great in the rocks and popping over down trees. Its held up great concerning slicing and chunking better than other tires I've used in the conditions i ride in.

Love the Pirelli MX eXTra
I’ve never ran Pirelli’s before always ran Maxxis and figured I’d give the MX eXTra a try.. I put them on right before a XC race and I couldn’t have been happier. Traction everywhere rocks, sand, and hard pack /dry or wet. I will definitely buy again and would highly recommend to my friends and others! And you can’t beat the price.

Bought for my wife’s Crf 230f because this is what came on it stock and she liked it. So bought it in soft-medium and she liked it riding behind her I can really see how much this tire grabs and holds on to the ground. I’m thinking about purchasing one for my yz450f. The stock tier she got lasted a long time and held up really good for riding a lot of hard pack she rode on the stock Pirelle fo a little over 9 years.

Best front hands down!!
Hands down the best front tire made!! This thing hooks up on every surface. Even on gravel/fire roads....I've never had a front tire that would hook up on a fire road but this thing stays planted. So far the wear is also excellent. As for the rear I've had other tires that hook up better but the wear is always faster. This tire lasts forever it seems so as for the long term and $ this is the go to tire.

Is the tread good on front?
matthew h on Oct 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It seems to be pretty predictable as far as traction. There are better tires for certain conditions, but these handle most pretty well. One thing I would not do is ride a lot of hard pack with these. I think you’ll chew them up.
Is this tire DOT approved?
paul p on Oct 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If i remember correctly it is. One of my favorite tires. Almost exactly the same as the scorpion pro FIM. I'd say this one has slightly better side tread.
