Pretty good for the money
I laced one of these up on my CR250, the only issue I see is that the nipples don’t perfectly seat and align in the rim. They are nice and straight until you start torquing them to spec, then the nipple doesn’t follow the spoke direction straight (because the rim isn’t quite machined the correct angle inside) and puts a slight bow into the spoke, it shows up on the how to videos the same if you know what to watch for. OEM wheels don’t have that issue and are very straight when torqued. OEM are probably are machined a little more perfectly, for the price I’ll deal with it.

These rims really do make the bike stand out. The finish is good and the rims are very round, not like some other brands in thi price range. The spokes and nipples supplied work well and thread smoothly. I like that tusk supplied 2 sizes of nipples. A Good buy!!

Easy to lace up and true. Replaced the cracked stock wheels. Front wheel had no issues. The only issue was getting spokes for the rear wheel (97 CR125). Picked up a set of moose spokes and laced it up.

Better than expected
I needed a quick rim and spoke kit. I needed to stay in a budget and chose the tusk rim and spoke kit. The quality is as good as OEM for less money. I have 5 rides on it now, large jumps and whoops etc. holding up great. Will buy again.

Is it possible to upgrade this kit with tusk black spokes?

does this only come with the black rims? can i get one with a silver rim?

Will these spokes work in the standard hub? and also will they work in excel hubs ?.. thankyou kindley

BEST ANSWER: Yes to the standard hub part of the question.
Since I am not familiar with the EXCEL hubs I cannot give you a definitive answer.

This rim and spoke combo is listed as not fitting my by which is an 04 rm125 but as long as the rim is 1.6x21 and 36 spoke shouldn’t any rim that size fit regardless of what the fit moment chart says?

BEST ANSWER: It fit my 2007 Honda CRF450x perfect. I don't know the answer to your question 100%. But you would think if the size is the same why not.
