Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag 1.7 review.

The tank bag was a easy install in the Yamaha XT250. It holds my Fiancé’s Sony A7RIII and lens perfectly with room to spare. So far we are very happy with the bag.

WOLFMAN BAGS ARE GREAT BAGS. THE MAIN THING WOULD BE TO GET THE SIZE YOU REALLY NEED OR WANT. CHECK OUT WHAT THEY HAVE . THEY ARE NICE TOUGH BAGS! MY FIRST CHOICE WAS TO SMALL BUT I CAN USE IT ON DIFFERENT BIKES BECAUSE YOU'LL NEVER GET RID OF YOUR WOLFMAN GEAR !

What you'd expect from Wolfman but...

Honestly it's a cylindrical pouch of ballistic nylon and webbing for attachment. Pretty straight forward. I find it nicely made as all Wolfman stuff usually is, except the seam is a tad bulky and not as neat as expected. But overall its Wolfman and it works. I put mine on my Daytripper bags fine to hold my emergency fuel bottle. My only real qualm is im not entirely sure its worth 30 bucks to be honest myself, but thats my opinion. Its the same durable Wolfman material and matches my bags (which I absolutely love) so why I got it and was tired of taking up one bag side with the bottle. Otherwise for the couple small things, I reccomend them. Theyll attach to a rack just fine as well.

    Wolfman Enduro Tank Bag V1.7

It's little, so don't think your going to put a lot in it, but it's just right for what I want to carry up front. Craftsmanship is good. Take your time with the instsllation.

Great way to carry tools and other gear

Works great for carrying your tools or anything else you can fit in there without having to put the wight on your back in a back pack. I keep just basic trail tools, tire repair stuff etc. Fits on my 18 300xcw without blocking the headlight Stays on snug and doesn't rattle around. Cinch straps keep the cargo from moving around as well. I don't notice the extra weight or any other changes to handling when using it, but do notice the relief of not having those same items in my backpack. Just be careful how you run the straps that you don't rub the brake line on the strap securing the item. I had one of the straps wear almost all the way though due to this. I haven't contacted wolfman about a replacement as of yet as I just bought another unit and repurposed the old one.

    Had mine a while

It is not waterproof so you have to buy a cover if you have rain issues. It's a bit of a hassle to take on and off, and there are a million straps hanging from it when it's off. The big pockets on the ends are perfect for water bottles or things you need to get to easily. I might start putting my stuff in a nylon bag and then putting that into this bag, so I can just pull out the interior bag and not mess with unfastening it all. The fabric is fraying on one pocket making the zipper useless. It's like the seam was sewn too close to the edge. I'd probably look around for a vinyl roll top bag these days.
