    Gold Standard

this tire is more expensive but it is worth every penny. I like how its not as tall as the MT43 and doesn't jack the back of my bike up. Exceptional traction and it lasts forever. If your on the fence buy with confidence. I LOVE this tire. Used on a 2013 KTM 300 XCW on some of the most technical single track Colorado/Utah has to offer

Best Rear Tire I've Ever Had

I had this rear tire and was amazed at how well it held up in the Florida sand and in the Georgia clay, and it provided plenty of traction. I replaced it with the new Dunlop MX32 and find myself wishing I had stuck with the Starcross. The Dunlop is a good tire but it does not hold up nearly as well. As another reviewer noted, stay off pavement with the Starcross if you want to get long service life out of it. You can test your bike on the road or sidewalk, but don't do anything beyond slow and easy. I'm going back to the Michelin when the Dunlop wears out...which won't be long.

    Sand, mud, street and freeway!

On my DR650 I need an around tire for the off road and street work I require. On a 5 day trip to Mesquite NV, I road the mud of the Virgin river, sandy washes, the streets around town and the freeway to Bunkerville. Much of the off road is deep sand and thick gravel. The sand is not fun on a heavy bike like the DR but the T 63 gets you in and back out, same with the deep mud! The tire is fine on the streets around town and the noise in par with any other knobbie type tire. Longevity at this point is unknown but with 500 miles so far, I have not seen any chunking, fast or odd wear patterns. I'd guess its will go 3k like most knobbies on a heavy dual sport bike.

    So far, so good!

Tires are hard to review for many reasons. Each bike is different. Weight and suspension change everything. Every rider is different. What can I say? The tire builds confidence in the corners. Cornering traction is amazing. This is the first tire to make it more than 3 rides without starting to blow off complete side knobs. I'm done with Pirelli fronts forever. If this tire doesn't do well, I'll try the starcross mh3. If that doesn't work, back to bridgestones!
