With 3-season, hot-weather riding in mind, the Alpinestars Roam 2 Air Boot is the ventilated version of the standard Roam 2. So while you’re not getting the waterproof protection of the original, you are getting a boot that breathes exceptionally well and still performs in a multitude of riding styles.

Fit is still American so it’ll work for most riders, the closures are still the simple and secure velcro, you still get a CE level of protection, and the height is still about mid-calf. What’s new is that the toe box is slimmed down from the previous iteration for a sleeker look. The Air version also gets some additional reflectivity up along the rear of the ankle.

With everything putting the Roam 2 Air right in the meat of AStars’ lineup, it stands up and performs in a range of roles from commuting, to sport-oriented riding, to touring, and even some light dual sporting. And that gives the Roam 2 Air a great value and bang for the buck.
