How To - Rebuild The Top End On A KTM RFS Motor (Part 1)
*Will not work on Renthal R3-2, Iris chains.
With a durable investment cast, hardened body, and a redesigned body bolt, the Motion Pro Chain Riveting Tool is solid enough to rivet chains from #35 to #530 with number 2, 3, and 4 hollow nose pins. This kind of strength and versatility means you can use the tool on drive chains and some types of cam chains as well. Additionally, the Chain Riveting Tool can double as a chain breaker to press out existing rivets. Add in the additional pins, riveters, and press plates that come in the box, and the Chain Riveting Tool from Motion Pro will be a staple in you tool box for a long time to come.

Dont waist your money on the 30$ pullers online. I have both and the motion pro feels way tighter in the threads. This gives you a lot more feel and better control a must have for any rfs motor rebuild
I am pleased with this tool. It is easy to use even for the beginner. I like the box it comes in so I can keep it all together. The price was a little steep but it ease of use and organized storage and spare parts make it worth it for me. My extra pin was not in the box, but a quick phone call resolve that. They sent it out ASAP. I hank you.
If you use this tool PROPERLY...it'll do the job. Get in a hurry or don't know how to use it, you'll break the attachments/pins and/or have a poorly staked/riveted chain. And, done wrong on a KTM RFS cam chain will bring A HEAP of sorrow. Go slow and understand the process!
I used this on my 530 chain out at the dunes and it saved my weekend. Anyone who has fought a 530 rivet chain knows it's a fight. Take your time and this will do everything it claims. Get some extra pins so if you break one, your covered. No sense in having to go home if this tool is the fix on your chain.
Good price point on a full chain tool. Well made. Have used on 530, 520 and cam chain. Rivet tool for the 530 sized chain works well. Worth the purchase if you have different sized bikes in garage and want one tool to work on all of them.
While this costs quite more than a chain breaker and master link, you can't go wrong with being able to rivet the chain back together for outstanding strength. The tool has a little bit of a learning curve to get used to it, but in time gets easier.
Installed a DID xring chain with rivet master link. Originally bought another brand that was terrible. Borrowed Motion pro from friend and it worked great after I consulted DID.The only issue was the directions were a little vague for the first timer. I liked the tool so much that I purchased one myself. The price seems a little steep but its a one time purchase.
Great tool to own if you don't mind riveting all your buddies chains. Riveting is better than the master link for reliable chains. Will break them too. Keep the master link in your pack for the emergency chain break situations.
