Protect vital front suspension components of your Polaris® side by side vehicle with these HMW Front Arm Guards, which absorb impacts from off-road obstacles and let you enjoy aggressive rock sliding. HMW (high-molecular weight polyethylene) is strong, durable, and has a low coefficient of friction – which means it slides over rocks and obstacles better than most other materials so you keep rolling. These 1/4" thick Front Arm Guards protect your Polaris® side-by-side's front suspension components so you can enjoy your off-road riding with confidence and peace of mind. They are styled to match the vehicle styling and they install quickly and easily with J-hook mounting. These front arms also provide protection to CV boots and helps prevent the joints from sticks and branches. The high strength and light weight molded design make these front arm guards durable without slowing down your ride.
    • HMW polyethylene.
    • Absorbs impacts versus bending like aluminum.
    • Guards install in designated, integrated installation locations using J-hook mounting.

Does the job well. Needed in rocky country !
2000 miles and they have done the job well. The mounting flanges will loosen up and take a little readjustment after a few hundred miles as they kind of “settle in” , and you should take a peek at them now and then, but even when a flange rotated out of position a little nothing fell off or anything like that. Most of my friends who ride with me in Nevada haven’t put these on and their A-Arms aren’t in the best condition, but mine still look perfectly true.

Only have one gripe with these there is always one clamp that dose not quite fit right but once you get over that hides they are good looking protect your a-arms could be a little taller by the cv-boots to protect them more but over all as advertised

    It fits and works.
I installed it on my 2016 RZR XC and it has done its job for the last 3500 miles. It is quiet when it takes a hit from usual Idaho rocks and sagebrush.

    Polaris Front A Arm Guards
Very easy install, look good on my razor. Instructions said to remove stock guards near wheels but I left them on my 900 trail without any clearance or hitting issues when turning the wheels.

Would these be able to be used with forward arched A arms?
    Corey O on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t believe so; getting them installed on arms with the perfect dimensions is smallish challenge; I thought I had them installed ok then saw that a couple of tabs had rattled loose and I had to swing them around and retighten them. No big deal but I can’t imagine these things working with other dimensions.
    is this better than aliuminum?
    Adam T on Aug 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Based on my experience, I prefer these over the aluminum guards for a couple of reasons. First, the plastic slides over rocks, whereas the aluminum tends to create more resistance when it contacts rocks. Second, the aluminum guards tend to bend and/or scar much easier than the plastic guards.

That being said, the mounting clips for these guards could be improved. Even when installed correctly, a few of the clips did not keep the guard attached tightly to the A-Arm. I was also concerned that the metal clips would create wear marks on the A-Arms. To solve both of those problems, I ended up inserting a thin rubber gasket material between the clips and the A-Arms. Once tightened, the guards do not slip and I won't worry about creating wear marks on the A-Arms.
1465640001 does this part number really fit the factory highlifter a arm? It looks like the part number is the same for the regular xp1000 a arms?
