Trail Tech Ignition Map Switch
Installed this on my 2014 KTM 350 XCF-W Six Days, and it woke the bike up. Riding in the wild setting made the throttle response snappier and much more responsive. The kill button is a little small for my liking but overall not an issue. Took me 10 minutes to install and I am very happy with this purchase from RM.

Works as intended
As the title states. This item works as intended. It made a distinct change in each of the positions. I imagine it's machine dependent but all 3 settings were drastically different responses on my bike. I don't understand anyone who says it made no difference on their ride. The profile of this switch is my only concern. It is rather large & leads me to be worry about it's longterm durability if you go down fairly regularly. The kill switch button location change really took some getting use to.

is it just install and done? or do you need to have it mapped??
Gene on Jan 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Sorry, I just noticed the question. The switch is a total plug n play. It utilizes the pre-programmed maps already in the ECM. Easy install. We experienced one problem...the kill switch solder point came loose fairly easy. Trail Tech has the replacement on its way. I don't think this speaks to the quality at all. I'll be leaving product feedback as soon as we have the replacement.
Can i use it on a ktm 125 2019?

BEST ANSWER: To see if this part will fit your machine please enter the make, model, and year into our "Choose a vehicle" drop down boxes found above the product image. If your machine is not listed, we may not carry the right item for your application. If you have a 2019 year model but don't see your machine as an option, please contact a tech via Live Chat or call us at 1-800-336-5437 for assistance.
One of the leads/wires broke on my stock FC250 (2016) map switch, which also activates the launch control. Will this switch replace the stock unit without issue? I don’t use the launch control, if that makes a difference.
Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: This will not work for the 2016 Husqvarna FC 250 it will only work for the the 2016 FE 250 and any other machine it is listed for.
I have a 2014 Husqvarna FE 501, it says it fits my bike but I have been told my bike has a locked ECU. I went directly to the trail tech page and it doesn't list this switch for my bike....so is this for my bike? If so do we know what the maps actually look like (chart wise)?
TOM N on Nov 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I show this will fit your machine. Trail Tech recommends contacting your local KTM dealer to verify compatibility prior to purchasing this switch. The ECU must be unlocked before you can access multiple map settings. Detailed information about map files and mapping upgrades are available at your local KTM dealer.
