This is almost too big and cumbersome to use on dirt bike tires, but I have found that it works extremely well on SxS tires. Lots of leverage, and when you're at the track or don't have access to a tire machine, leverage is what you need!
Stoked i purchased it. Makes light work of a tough tire.
Having a tough time swapping tires, throw one of these in with your smaller tire irons makes a big difference & can save u some time & headache. Glad i bought one, eill always kerp one or two in the garadge. Helped alot changing my truck tires as well!
I use 5 of these to change any tire on my stand. I love the length to provide good leverage, and the shape of the spoon makes pinching a tube almost a thing of the past. Too big to pack on the trail, but, a MUST have in your shop!
This is a heavy duty tire iron. It is much more sturdy than the motion Pro tire iron. My only complaint is the handle seems to come unscrewed when using it. Not quite sure if it's supposed to come unscrewed as it does. Maybe there's a purpose for this but I haven't found it yet
Nobody loves to change tires, but with the mega tire irons you learn how much easier a tire is to change with the right irons. They have plenty of leverage and are sturdy for any tire change you need. They make changing tires much easier. Only tire iron i use. You feel like the Hulk while you use them!
It's easy to forget how much leverage helps. Where I strained with my short irons, this makes it almost seem effortless. This isn't an iron you will be packing on the trail, it's very big. For tire changes at home or at the shop, I'd recommend getting at least two of these. They are great.
I replaced my front and rear tires last weekend, with a buddy, and I was using these 17" tire irons. I have to tell you, the extra leverage these 17 inchers give you is absolutely wonderful. The curve in the spoon is perfect for latching onto the rim and the bead of the tire. I bought two of these, but think I'll get the third one before I change tires again. More the merrier.
Tusk 17" Mega Tire Iron a must for stubborn tires. I use it sparingly when I need too. The rule of thumb is not to apply much force when using it otherwise you are risking damaging your rim or tire or both
Great leverage, but they always unscrew from the handle. I suppose I could loc title them and put them in the vice to crank them tight once and for all, but I think Tusk should do that before they ship out.
This tire iron is just ok if you have enough gap between the rim and tire, otherwise the spoon shape doesn't fit the bill. The handle is a nice touch but really unnecessary. There are better irons out there for about the same money.
