will not go through small bike hubs
I changed tires on klx110 and crf80 center bolt would not go through hub. Seams like it will be nice when I change tire on wheel that bolt will go through.

Happy!
Makes tire changing a whole lot easier!!

Only downfall I have found was with the nut that holds the adjustment knob for height adjustment. Had just gotten the tire completed in record time. Soaped up the bead and was rotating the tire on the rim a little to center the valve stem. Then heard a pop and looked down to find 1 of 2 welds broke on the nut. May have just been tacked and overlooked to fully weld around it, or maybe these are just held in with 2 tack welds. If so, it may be a good idea to go ahead and weld all the way around.

Aside from that one flaw. The stand works great!

Save $. Do It Yourself.
Was tired of spending the $ having tires changed at local dealer. Was able to set my self up to change tires for what they would charge for labor for one set. Wallet, back, and knees are all better for it.

I wont worry about fighting my tire on the ground ever again!!!
I highly recommend this stand. It makes everything so much easier adjusting height and its stability. Also has grip tape on the feet of the stand to put pressure on stand!

Must Have For Any Dirt Bike Rider
I'm too cheap to pay someone else to change my tires and I used to use the floor to change my tires. It was always a pain before. Although this stand doesn't look like much as long as you follow the proper techniques this stand makes things sooooo much easier. Much better for my back and knuckles. I recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to use this stand. Defiantly worth it.

Great Tool for the home shop!
This stand is well worth the money. I know i have spent countless minutes wrestling with rims on the bench trying to get the tire on or off.. I thought if was a little short at first, but it is fine for me (6'2") at the highest setting. I like that i can use it for 13" wheels and up to the 21" fronts on my bike. The 2 things that i would change are the diameter of the hold down rod ( wont fit through the center of the 13" wheel) and maybe wider legs. The stand will tip when you get a little rough. I suppose i can try bolting it to a 4'x4' piece of plywood and see if that helps. This is great addition to my home shop.

Great title
I’m new at this sport and I’ve heard from many friends that I should avoid changing my own tires if at all possible because it can be a headache. Well, by the time I have 2 tires professionally changed I could purchase the tire stand and changeover tools, so why not give it a try? RMATVMC has a great tire changing video, with this exact stand, and I had my first ever tire changed in 20 min. And that was installing a stiff new tire. The stand makes it so much easier when using your tire spoons because you can set it at the level your comfortable with and it gives you the leverage you need to pull a tire on and off.
I would be careful when you tighten down the clamp/screw and make sure it’s centered properly onto the wheel as I slightly damaged my wheel bearing.
Also, with the tire on the mount I had a difficult time with getting my spoons in and out of the tool holder. I’ll have to play with it a little bit but it was pretty much useless while changing the tire.

Does it come with tire iron bar?
Rodrigo E on Jan 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: NO, it does not. I have found that the Tusk tire iron shown below works good. FYI this tire stand works well if you expansion bolt it to a concrete slab, such as the garage floor. Otherwise it can be a bit top heavy to use.

What size is the axel support shaft? Will it fit through older motorcycle wheel that have 17mm axels?
daniel t on Dec 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The wheel securing rod-shaft is 12.7mm with a large cone washer on top. I've used the stand on 50cc bikes up to 1200 bikes. One of most often used tools. My buddies all come to borrow it. Makes changing tires so much easier.
can the center bolt be removed so that the tire doesnt have to be dropped over it?
Jeffrey H on Dec 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can be removed. IIRC, it is also adjustable for height.
What size is the center axle post? Between my bikes and the kids, I have axles sizes 12, 15, 17, 25, and 30mm!
Brian E on Jul 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I should also add you can easily remove the center rod, or lower it out of the way, watch your toes! You should have no issue with this. I've used it to change tires on my crf50 without issue.
Can I change a bib with this stand ?
Mark H on Aug 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have never changed a bib insert so I am not qualified to answer that. However it is a really good stand and I imagine if you were to bolted to the ground or secure it to the floor you could change any Tire with it. Of all my purchases for bike things throughout the years it is one of the best purchases I made
Will this also work for a quad tire?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would say no but I haven't tried. You may be able to use ur as a stand to get the atv tire on but I don't think there is any way you will break the bead to get the tire off of the wheel. I use a much heavier duty stand for vehicle tires to change atv tires.
will this work with the baja no pinch tire tool?
Kyle S on Oct 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have both and they work great together. The tire stand has a threaded rod that holds the wheel down. I use it one to dismount tires. Then for tire installs I remove it and use the Baja No Pinch tool. Works great.
How does this compare to the TUSK one which is $40 cheaper? They look almost the same.

BEST ANSWER: I can't answer the question about the Tusk stand as I haven't seen one in person to compare? I can say that the MSR stand is very well built and is a life saver compared to the ground or work bench. I take it with me on all of our bike trips, it has become a part of my tools in the trailer. I have purchased several Tusk items and most of the time they work just fine for the weekend warrior, neither would probably stand up in a business setting. Sorry I wasn't much help, but I would recommend getting one or the other. MM
will it work with street tires?
A shopper on May 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I am really not sure if they work with street tires. I only used them with dirt bike tires and really worked well for that. Really saves my back. Maybe call tusk?
How much does it weight? Need to know for shipping to another country. Thanks!
Francisco F on Jan 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Probably around 10-15 pounds, 4.5-6.8kgs I would say. Mine is stored away in my trailer right now otherwise I could say it for you but it’s in that area for sure.
Will this work for atv tires?
Darius D on Feb 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will. You might want to consider one with a bead breaker for ATV tires
What is the measurement between legs of the stand? I’m trying to determine stability. I have a stand now that I believe has too narrow of a base and it is not very stable.
Erik A on Jun 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 20.5 inches is the distance between the legs.
Will this work for 85s?
Crystal S on Jun 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will work with 10" rims and bigger.
Is there a bead breaker that you can purchase for this tire changer?
Preston T on Sep 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not included so You have to purchase separately- or use your knees/ work boots / rubber mallet.
