If you are adventuring further away from paved and well maintained dirt roads, your feet will need more protection than traditional adventure-touring boots.

The new Terra Evo’s sole has increased rigidity for a higher level of off-road protection, and also provides more durability for long distance stand-up riding. Heels and toes get external PU for tougher impact absorption and improved rider protection. The main boot structure is produced in oiled full-grain leather with a new FCS Ankle Support System to allow for maximum support without compromising touring comfort.
  • CE® level protection.
  • Oiled Full-Grain leather.
  • FCS® Ankle Support.
  • Drytex® waterproof.
  • Adventure anti-slip sole.
  • Mide-sole with steel shank.
  • External molded protection.
  • Shin TPU protection.
  • Velcro® collar closure.
  • Unbreakable Alloy buckles.
  • Extra soft polymer padding.
  • Anti-bacterial insole.
  • 12 months Warranty.

Great if you have large enough ankles for a secure fit
Foot box is super protective. The side hinge looks impressive, but it doesn't give the lateral and flex protection I anticipated.Easy enough to walk in, with good traction. Thick socks make them warm enough for 4 or 5 hours in 20-30 degree temps. Waterproof (actual stream crossings, not just rain). 14K miles pavement, gravel and some trail, and they look like almost new.

Perfect? Not quite. A 5 mph sudden drop on wet grass broke my right ankle. Maybe if your ankles are large enough. I've spent much of my life running and cycling, not so much lately but still solid calves for a mesomorph. On me, the lower two buckles are max tight and my ankle is not locked down. This permits too much motion and potential for twisting and hyperflexion, which I think is what happened to me.

These are super comfy out of the box, and will soften up some with time. If your ankle feels kinda sloppy, that will only get more pronounced.

Overall still 4 stars. If the fit is suitable for you these should be a great compromise between comfort and protection. If your ankle seems a bit unrestrained, it is, and I suggest you take exercise the return policy and try again.

Forma sets new standards!
A very high-quality boot that fits better than a SIDI if you have a wide foot. You can even walk in them!

Great boots, especially for the money.
I love these boots. Just bought my 2nd pair. They are waterproof or at least highly resistant. They are relatively comfortable considering the protection. I can wear them all day, every day. These were quite a step up in protection from the "Adventure" boots I used to wear and well worth the small compromise in walkability. 1st pair is still in good shape after 2 years, but now a backup for the new ones. Only issue I have found is that the stitching on the left boot, inside, above the arch rubbed through and had to have fixed by shoe repair.

Glad I chose these
I wear a 9.5, my feet are slightly on the wide side, and the 44 fits great with a little room using normal thickness socks. I think a 43 would have been acceptably snug but wouldn’t have left room for a thicker sock, 45 would have been too big. The quality is great and they are easy to get get on and off. They don’t fit under my straight cut pants incase that’s a factor for you, but the pants easily fit inside the boots. Shifting took some getting used to but is quickly becoming a non factor.

BEST ANSWER: The foot area fits good but the upper part is very tight. I had to adjust the straps out as far as they would go so there is no way to put pants on the inside. Other than that they are very comfortable even for walking.
Are they water proof. And would they be good for new riders. Reguarding proctection. Or should. I get tech 7 enduro for dual sport?
Hayden P on Apr 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These would be a great option. They are not water proof.
