I never knew handling could be this good
Bought these after a friend recommended them and he's ruined me. I cannot buy any other tire now because these tires have destroyed what I expect of a tire. The hook up is fantastic. I've taken them in wet, slippery conditions in pouring rain to dusty sun bake dirt and these tires have not once broken traction. I am beyond happy with these tires.
Also installation was easy enough with these tires. If you're in the market for tires, this is the only choice!

Worst tire I have ever purchased
If all you ride is desert or dry ground this is probably a decent tire. However, all I ride is mud and trails and I am just everywhere with it. I just got off of a set of other tires and those things were like tanks just seemed to go everywhere. I used them till they looked like street bike tires and they still went everywhere. I was hopping this tire would offer the same grip but give it more of a lifespan. This did not happen. Even after using like a quarter of tank I can see some wear on my tires. Even with these tires being new they were nowhere near as good as my others were when they were practically bald. Will not recommend this tire to anybody. However, if you want something that will keep you from getting flats this is the way to go.

Only tire I run
I reide in the desert and the Maxxis IT has never failed me. It hooks up in the sand, rocks & Mud. Been running this same tire since 2009. Excellent traction & tough as nails. The rear is just as good, huge knobs!

Beware fake reviews!
I'm confused. Everyone else seems to love this tire! It's the worst I've ever used. The rear is great. The front is hot garbage. It has the worst cornering traction of any front tire I've ever used. I think the problem is the tread pattern. The overall pattern is like a paddle tire, where the knobs are lined up in radial-style rows. This affords decent braking traction in a straight line on level ground, but introduce any camber or lean angle into the mix, and it's time for a new clutch lever. Washout city is your new home.

I suspect a lot of fake reviews.

Maxxis Intermediate Tire
We just finished a 3 day 500 mile Baja tour over rocks, sandwash, desert, forest, pavement, mud and everything in between and the tires barely look scrubbed in! A great value and good traction for where the rubber meets the trail.

Great Tire for a 250/450
Had these on a few bikes and they have tons of traction and a great feel. I'd definitely recommend them! Especially when they're on sale!

A solid tire
I do a lot of varied terrain riding. I use the Tubliss system with this tire. No chunking and tread life has been good.
