  Not as heavy duty as they used to be

  Don't feel as heavy duty as older models but might work better for balance in a tire that will see high speeds. Might work fine, but when compared to older rim locks, they feel like they might fail on a very heavy and/or powerful motorcycle.

  I like this tape a lot. It doesn't wear out like rubber rim strips and it sticks very well to the rim, doesn't move around. Definitely not a nightmare like using duct tape.

  So far so good

  recently trashed my rear rimlock which took out my tube and rim guard. decided i was going to give these a go and bought 2 of them as ive had the tube blow and the old rim lock did not hold the bead at all. was a nightmare getting back out of the woods just spinning the rim and ruining the tire. ive got couple rides with these and they seem to be holding up great.

  Good for keeping debris out

  This dampener keeps a lot of the debris out that would enter through the hole in the rim. Also they are recommended by the manufacturer.
