Great tire but just know what your getting.
I bought a rear and front tire. The rear lasted so long I removed it prematurely because I wanted to try a softer tire. Grips insane when new, and still tracks right up hill climbs once its center lugs are considerably shorter. Yes it is very resistant to chunking and slicing. The tire will take you to hong kong. Just understand that comes at a price. The hard compound makes for a bumpy ride - not good for 2 hour harescrambles.
The front I can say the same for durability. The lugs are quite larger than most front tires. I find it a little tricky sometimes washing out and not quite as nimble. Probably because its hard compound deflects. Its still a good tire though if your looking for an end of the world tire. Too hard for long races though - wears you out.

Longest lasting rear tire Ive owned
I ride a variety of terrain: sand, rock, mountains, trees, roots, river crosssings, shale, etc and these tires have lasted up to twice as long as their dunlop and michelin counterparts for the same price. Will always buy over any other tire

Great lasting tire with a great price.
I run these tires in the high desert with sand and jagged rocks. These tires hold up great and have great tread life.

Makes my bike pull like a tractor!
I can't say what kind of mileage it'll get, but my 1st ride on it yesterday at the Lumberjack 100 Enduro sold me. It got me out of the knarliest of mudholes without a problem. Time will tell on how we it works after another 60 miles or so.

Incredible desert race tire.
Seasoned racer, I race WORCS and MRAN, Running it with a Goldentyre mousse 140/80-18 - rocks and hard pack grips insane. I chew through about a tire advert 2months, so I’ve run just about everything - this is among the best for rocks and desert

Great on road, bad off road traction
This tire is awesome on the road, way safer than my last dirt tire, but I am not at all happy with the traction for dirt, rocks and trail riding. I hoped it would do better in the rocks since it is for mid to hard terrain but it just does not grip anything off road. Its still almost brand new and I am replacing it.

Good, not great
The tires are holding up well in a mix of terrain and work well on dry hardpack and rocks. If it gets too sandy or dusty or muddy these get a bit squirrely and are difficult to track with. These are my first set of mid to hard pack tires and are wearing well where I ride but I will be going back to soft to mid tires when these wear out. They don't last as long but they perform better.

Mid to Hard DOT tire
Use these on my FE450 Duel Sport. Traction in good in sandy desert riding. Tire can be a little sketchy on wet rock. Paved road traction is very acceptable for my riding. 2nd set purchased

Will a 140 fit on my 2009 ktm 300xc?
Terry p on Nov 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You'll want to measure the distance between the inside of your swing arm to determine if there is enough room. Some machines have the clearance while others do not.
Will this tire be compatible with a nuetech tubliss gen 2.0 tubless system?

BEST ANSWER: yep, those will work together just fine.
What is the average life that most people are getting out of the rears? I have MT21's currently and looking for a somewhat more aggressive tire. How would anyone rate these two if they've run both? Any help would be great. I mostly ride in the eastern Sierras. So rocks, sand, snow, roots, and fire roads.
Andrew G on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I run the rear (140-80-18) on my ktm 500exc and honestly the tire sucks for about the first 50 miles. Now don't let that discourage you. I ran the tire on a tube setup at 12 psi and now the tubliss setup at 7psi. I've had zero issues with this tire as far as chunking ripping tearing ect. The tire does excellent in rocks roots and light dirt roads. I haven't ridden this tire in the snow and in the sand it is fair. Be warned this tire is horrible on the road it definitely keeps you on your toes. If your 80% woods riding this tire is a beast. This is my 3rd one and I get roughly 3000-4000 miles. Depends on what I ride sometimes I ride more of one thing for an extended period of time. I strive for traction so I spend alot of time slipping my clutch and throttle control. So depending on how you ride your results may vary. But overall I'd definitely rate this tire at a 9 out of 10.
