    Good Value
    I used this tire on a 1190. This is a 3000 mile tire. Good for shorter rides, but if you're doing anything longer look at something else. A little bit spooky on wet pavement. Okay on dry pavement. Good on dirt roads. It does a fair to good job all around at a good price point.

    Disappointing
    Decent life, but I expected better. Good forward and braking traction, but mostly terrible off-pavement. Very nervous, poor side-to-side traction off-pavement.

    OK-ish on pavement, but not great in the rain and not nearly as confidence-inspiring as other dirt-leaning options.

    I'm a fan of other Shinko tires, but for the high cost, I expected far better.

    Lacks lateral traction and punctures easily
    Used this on the rear of a 2016 Africa Twin

    Pros:
    * Good traction in acceleration and braking.
    * Smooth/quiet on road.
    * Wears okay.
    * Cheap.

    Cons:
    * Very poor lateral traction on unpaved surfaces. The bike wants to slide out immediately if leaned over.
    * Not great durability. After riding some rocky gravel roads I've had several cuts all the way through the tire (tube visible).

    This tire is nice and cheap, but since it got cut up after only 2000 miles or so, I will not be running it again.

    Freaky Fast Delivery & easy on the eyes
    Great looking tire and surprisingly soft and rides well on the road for an aggressive tire. Can’t be this tire for the price, especially considering the shipping is free and lightening fast, like faster than Jimmy John’s Delivery.

    Work great on Super Tenere
    I bought these to make my Super Tenere better on the dirt roads where i ride. So far, I love them. I haven't put a lot of miles on them so far, but they perform great on pavement and dirt. They look great too. Very smooth on the highway as well.

    Great Tire - 3rd Set
    I have used the 805 for the past three years. I highly recommend them. I get 6000 to 6500 miles from them.I mostly ride dirt and use pavement to get me to a riding area and sometimes for fun. On pavement it works great, little to no noise, hold pavement well and cornering is just like a touring or sport tire. Off road it is a tough tire, tracks well on soft and intermediate terrain, handles rocks well. I don't have any real wet road experience since I live in the desert.

    Shinko 805/804 combo, best value for your money!
    Replaced the stock tires on our Versys X 300 with the Shinko 805/804 setup. What a difference the bike stays planted on loose ground, gravel, mud and snow and no problems on the asphalt. They have worn well on our big ADV Bikes so we should expect the same on our mini ADV bike. Great tires for the performance they deliver as well as cost compared to the other brands. Highly recommend them!!

    Wonderful tire
    Great tours for tail riding. Replaced my original on a 2018 klr650. Difference is distinct. Love it. Plan on getting fronts when they are due.

    2nd set, still happy
    These tires do pretty well as a 50/50 dual sport tire on an adventure bike. I've ridden my DL650 in some muddy forest roads that it probably wasn't meant to be on and these tires did well enough. On the street, they have pretty decent wet traction and great dry traction and they are very predictable in turns.

    what is the right tube for a tire 140 80 17? can i use this tire without tube ?
    A shopper on Jun 27, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: If you have tubeless rims this tire is tubeless. A 110 or 100 by 17 will work. Get a heavy duty iron ultra heavy duty if you are riding off road. Check out my YouTube channel search azdesertdog
    wondering if I can replace the 130/80 17 with my old 4.60 17. What's the tread/knob width on these?
    thanks
    Bryce H on Jul 3, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: It's a really good tire, tough, longlasting. There are conversion charts on the web that tell you if it'll work. If it is close it'll be fine.
