    This tire will not disappoint
    I had been hearing good things about these tires However I was concerned about noise and how they would be on the road. After my first ride I am very happy. They handle great on the road and no noise from the 804 I put on the front. When I went off road the 805 did exactly what I wanted. It’s as good as it looks.

    Excellent tire at a reasonable price!
    Installed the 805 on my klr in spring of 2019, removed 3/2020 at 7500 with another new 805. It easily had another 1000-1500 road miles left in it, but wanted to start the season on new rubber.
    Seems to be a really good match to the KLR and my riding style. Spent a lot more time on the road last year than expected and didn’t expect it to last as long as it did. Good handling wet and dry on the road. No noise, vibration, or issues. Corners and brakes well on the road. No complaints. Off-road for me, mostly gravel roads, conservation roads, 2 track, some single track was all quite good and well pleased. The tread design not being staggers means it doesn’t side hill in anything wet or loose well at all. But it will plow through wet and loose things if little side angle. I’m not that aggressive with it off-road, and have been well pleased with what I have done with the 805. Seems a good value and match to the KLR. I Liked it enough to install another.
    The 804 up front is another story, avoid that tire!

    Great value for a big bike knobby
    These tires are a great value for a tough carcass with decent rubber. I ran these on a low-power KLR650 and was very happy with their road and dirt manners, but I'm not sure how long the tire life would be on a higher powered multi-cylinder bike. I didn't experience any chunking or uneven wear on these tires and the highway vibrations are minimal given how hood the offroad grip is.

    Great mid sized ADV tire
    Used on a F800GS and they were exceptionally good off road in desert terrain and on road. They don't last too long though, maybe 4-5K miles.

    After riding back to back, the SEAT and SM500 (2100 miles) with this tire, over mud, loose gravel, river crossings, some asphalt wet/dry and a lot of sugar sand on a KLR650, I'm really happy with the 805. Got 4k on my last one, with 80% of those on dirt. If riding on road or light gravel I could get another 1k, but for Florida sand and mud I need some new rubber.

    Great tires!
    I put the 804 and 805 on my KLR after doing extensive research on dual sport tires, and I have been very happy. I went with a more aggressive off road tire as I am newer to the dirt scene and wanted additional support while learning off road skills. Traction on dirt, rock, mud, etc. has been great. I had heard that some people felt there was a little slide to the side in mud due to the horizontally/parallel aligned treads, but I have not experienced any of that. Going with a more aggressive dirt tread I assumed I would be giving up a little bit of performance on the street, but I have been very impressed with their pavement performance as well. I think the larger blocks flex less allowing for more forceful cornering. Great on and off road for an unbeatable price!

    Good Value
    I used this tire on a 1190. This is a 3000 mile tire. Good for shorter rides, but if you're doing anything longer look at something else. A little bit spooky on wet pavement. Okay on dry pavement. Good on dirt roads. It does a fair to good job all around at a good price point.

    Disappointing
    Decent life, but I expected better. Good forward and braking traction, but mostly terrible off-pavement. Very nervous, poor side-to-side traction off-pavement.

    OK-ish on pavement, but not great in the rain and not nearly as confidence-inspiring as other dirt-leaning options.

    I'm a fan of other Shinko tires, but for the high cost, I expected far better.

    Lacks lateral traction and punctures easily
    Used this on the rear of a 2016 Africa Twin

    Pros:
    * Good traction in acceleration and braking.
    * Smooth/quiet on road.
    * Wears okay.
    * Cheap.

    Cons:
    * Very poor lateral traction on unpaved surfaces. The bike wants to slide out immediately if leaned over.
    * Not great durability. After riding some rocky gravel roads I've had several cuts all the way through the tire (tube visible).

    This tire is nice and cheap, but since it got cut up after only 2000 miles or so, I will not be running it again.

    what is the right tube for a tire 140 80 17? can i use this tire without tube ?
    A shopper on Jun 27, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: If you have tubeless rims this tire is tubeless. A 110 or 100 by 17 will work. Get a heavy duty iron ultra heavy duty if you are riding off road. Check out my YouTube channel search azdesertdog

    Bryce H on Jul 3, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: It's a really good tire, tough, longlasting. There are conversion charts on the web that tell you if it'll work. If it is close it'll be fine.
