Don’t get left in the pits with a broken chain. Motion Pro’s PBR Chain Breaker gives you a tool that does everything you need to get a chain on or off in one simple package.

What makes the PBR tool a necessity is its unique ability to remove pins, rivet pins, and press plates all using the same tool. The PBR tool is made of heat-treated steel and uses a series of modular dies that can be interchanged to either press, rivet, or remove components of your drive chain. The dies or "anvils" use an intuitive positioning system that ensures setting up and using the tool will be hassle free. To make things even easier the PBR tool can either be held in your hand or clamped in a vise depending on what’s most comfortable for you. The tool comes in a compact, plastic storage case that’s great for throwing in a tool box or riding pack, and if you choose not to use the box, all the dies stack up and secure into the tool itself for quick storage.

It’s hard to match the versatility you get with the Motion Pro PBR Chain Breaker. It doesn’t matter if you need to press, break, or remove the chain on one or all your bikes, the PBR Chain Breaker can do it all.

  • Works with 520, 525, 530 size chains

  • Works with O-ring and non-O-ring chains
  • Uses interchangeable anvil blocks
  • Made of durable heat-treated steel

Solid tool, tiny pieces to lose...

Comments On Sep 19, 2014:I tried this tool in the shop and decided I wanted one at home, too.
It definitely isn't for everybody, as it's one tool that does many jobs depending on how certain pieces are placed. This definitely leads to a bit of fumbling with the small 'block' you need to move each time you want to change the function of the tool.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a single tool that is more stout than most and capable of handling just about any chain-related work this is an excellent deal.
I would also put it into the "nice tool to leave at home" category, what with the 3 or 4 small but critical parts that don't actually attach to the tool (just loosely sit in it)...

Love it and so do my friends

Comments On May 09, 2014:Once I figured it out I realized how well thought out the tool is. I am a mechanic and appreciate time saving tools. The best chain break/ installer I have owned. Just pre-grind the pin or drive it flush with a hammer first so as not to overwork the break pin. Makes installing the master link on o-ring chains much easier.
