The sizing of the boot is pretty true to size. I would always order up rather than down because you can always wear a thicker sock to take up some of the difference if needed.
Ryan W.Hey man I’ve ran the Sidi’s and alpinstars forever and I’ve ran 11-12’s. I’ve got some wide flippers my self and found that my sg12s were a bit roomy at an eleven. However with a thick winter sock it would be pretty snug👍🏼 Hope this helps man 🍻 you’ll never buy another pair 👌🏼
Trevor Fi have always wore a size 10 Race boot. My regular street shoe or boot size is a size 9. I always pull the existing sole out and put in a runners sole. cushions the foot on hard landings. Gaerne's are the best. Always comfortable right out of the box.
LYNN MHad Sidi's they were great. I switched to SG12's in 2009 and rode 100's of hours and 6 seasons. I did wear out the original sole as well as two replacement soles. The uppers held up unbelievably well and still felt safe after all that use. I puchased another pair of sg12's and they are even better with the now lower toe box. I do notice that the toe plastic is wearing quickly from the shifter on the new boot though. You really can't go wrong with either boot but I plan to stick with sg12's
RONALD LThe 12s are a little taller on the toe than the 10s but this is a non-issue when in actual riding position. I have never had an issue with it. The 10s have a bootie that some absolutely hate but that never bothered me.
I can wear me 12s all day without a problem. I've forgotten that I've had them in for well over an hour after riding. No discomfort with any hard impacts of any sort. No rubbing, no blisters, nothing to speak of.
Just get them. If you aren't happy with them, you won't be happy with anything else.
I wear 10.5 street shoes without fail. I’ve been using the size 10 gaerne SG 12s, two sets so far. The toe box has room to fit, and personally I would rather a little snug than too big.
Geoff JI am not sure what you mean about "updated toe box" but I can tell you that the toe box on these boots are generally very roomy. I had quite a bit of space to move around in mine. It is very padded and comfortable on the inside as well. It has the metal toe cap and ultra-hard plastic on the top and around the toe. I hope this answers your quesiton!
Jack SMine look exactly like the photo (black and white...) hth.....
chris mAbout 17".
Ryan W.The boots hold up fairly well through water. I bought my boots in 2015 and I am still using them to this day. The boots work fantastic, I really have not had any problems with these boots, the only time they didn't really hold up all that well was when I completely dunked the boots under water while I was riding. Of course then they didn't hold up all that great, but that will happen with any boot if you do that to it. After they dried they work like they were still new. Overall these boots are awesome.
