MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a specialized helmet safety technology that is now being used in the top tier of off road helmets in order to greatly lessen the chances of traumatic brain injury.
By integrating an engineered low-friction layer into the liner of the helmet, MIPS enables a relative sliding motion between the head and the helmet so angular and rotational impact forces are absorbed and deflected.
Since most head impacts occur at oblique and unpredictable angles, helmets with MIPS Technology are able to offer better protection than helmets without.
Koroyd technology uses a series of hollow, dual-polymer, thermally welded tubes to attenuate and absorb the force of traumatic impacts.
During a crash, the Koroyd tubes compress and effectively create a crumple zone inside the helmet. This technology outperforms EPS in terms of energy absorption, and drastically reduces the occurrence of brain injury compared to other current materials.
The hollow design of Koroyd tubes also dramatically improves air circulation and promotes a lighter-weight helmet overall.
For proper fit and size measure the circumference of your head 1" above your eyebrows and around the largest portion of the back of your head.

Helmet feels super cheap for the premium price. Glue together a bunch of straws and you have Koroyd. That's some groundbreaking tech. Plastic snap broke when I took out the cheek pad. In the review video of the helmet Chance sure does emphasize that the company is in Idaho. That's great, the helmet is manufactured in mainland China. Got me, hook, line and sinker. The deception runs deep at Klim.
One thing I don't have problems spending a lot of money on is a good helmet and good foot protection. This helmet is super light and built by a great company. KLIM .. their gear is solid and you definitely get what you pay for. Extra visor, nice helmet bag ... I've got one race using this helmet so far and happy with my purchase
Love this helmet. Super light, flows an incredible amount of air, looks dang good and the quick release/close strap makes it super easy/quick to take off helmet and put back on. It's pricey for sure, but my favorite helmet I have owned.
