The XTREME HYBRID is like a Mountain Hybrid, but with a more aggressive tread for extreme conditions, with serious straight line drive for those soft hill climbs and muddy bogs. It has traction characteristics of a trials tire, with the dimensions of a serious off-road enduro tire to maintain the bike’s handling characteristics.

Climbs like a trials tire, but much better in mud, sand, and a wide variety of technical single track terrain.
  • Construction like a trials tire but with reinforced sidewalls to allow lower inflation pressure.
  • Flexible tread concave and lock system for increased traction.
  • Tread blocks with deep sypes for extra trials-like grip.
  • 100% Natural Rubber for durability and long wear life.
  • DOT compliant and reversible.

Great traction not so good life
This tire has great traction and really hooks up everywhere but after 3 rides maybe 8hrs I noticed the tire chunking away . Although even with the tire falling apart still had great traction on the fence about ording this again or trying somthing else

Awesome tyre
This is my second Motoz Extreme Hybrid. Great straight line traction up or down hills. Predictable in corners. Good in all conditions wet or dry. Never been stuck. Did the Desert 100 twice with it. Blasted thru mud there! I do find that with the Tubliss at 8 psi it performed well. But as both tires got older the tires would leak air completely. You can easily get 1500- 2000 miles on the rear tyre with very little riding on bitumen. The Tubliss bladder was always holding at 100 psi. My next purchase is the Motoz Tractionator Enduro I/T. Just experimenting.

Not up for dual sporting
Tried it out on the rear of my plated XR400. Didn't last nearly as long as the shinko I ended up replacing it with and wasn't all that impressive in the dirt. It did okay on climbs but the total lack of braking traction erased any positives for me.

Felt great on the road until the center wore down and then it felt horrible when cornering.

Too squishy, and greasy when new.
Way squishier than the regular mountain hybrid, until it wears down slightly; then it is great. I am going back to the regular mountain hybrid. The extreme wears too fast from the road. It doesn't become an excellent tire until you wear off 1/8th of the tread height ( which is where the mountain hybrid starts).

Monster Traction
This tire has the most incredible traction. Have never had a tire with this much hook-up. Rode 140 plus miles outside St. George Utah. Everything from sand to hard packed desert to rock climing, tire never missed a beat. Would definately recommend

Amazing tire!!! In the right conditions....
Get a drink and a small snack...

I spend a lot of time hanging around the truck with the guys, after a good day of riding, and shoot the stuff and sometimes meet new people and trade stories and brag about all the bling on our bikes.

I had an old man, riding trials bikes with a group, and he notices my worn out back tire. I tell him it's the stock from when I bought the bike and it held up very well in the type of riding I do (mostly single track, hills, rocks\roots). He mentions this tire to me and tells me that he runs it on his dirt bike, doing similar riding, and absolutely swears by it. I keep this mans story in the back of my mind as I got shopping for a new back tire a few weeks later. Really was hesitant because no one in our group rode on one or knew anyone with first hand experience on it. I pull the trigger and take a huge leap of faith.

Pair the tire with a tubliss and get it on, no problem, and take it out for it's first test run at the local riding spot. I have to say I was very impressed with the tire. It does take a little getting used to with is being a little mushy feeling (think that was more of the PSI I was running) and does not like anything loose. Other than that, I wouldn't ride another tire unless it was given to me for free. I swear by this tire and won't look anywhere else.

I've been riding on this setup for 9 months now. I try to abuse the living crap out of it. As of last week, I noticed my first little chunk out of one of the side knobs and the first signs of real wear on the tire. This by no means I plan on changing it anytime soon. This thing has at least another 9 months of life in it.

If you're on the fence, and may share a similar experience when looking at this tire for your bike, don't hesitate. If you ride the hard pack, rocks\roots, single track craziness than this tire is for you.

used for dual sport
good rubber for the road, slippery in the sand, I am sure I will get a long street life out of these tires, but really have to be careful off road where the sand is soft, hard pack they work well, I guess everything comes at a price, giving up some traction in the sand for a better street tire, so not good for on/off road racing, but really good for moderate dual sport riding

Worked very good on rocky trails
Installed a 110-100-18 on my 200xcw for an Idaho trip in July. Very happy on how they climbed through loose rocky sections, rock steps and how they stuck to thin off camber side hill trail. Seemed to brake well. Tread life - the leading edges are worn on the center knobs, but no knobs torn or chunked (but this is on a 200 2st). Almost two hundred miles with about 15 miles of highway. My 200 is plated. One bar on handling only because I never really tested it on for cornering or "handling". Great tire for those conditions.

Mounted on a 2017 fe501

I have around 600 miles on my xtreme hybrid. So far it has the best tread life of any dot tire with a somewhat agressive tread pattern I've used. Still at 3/4 tread. 60% paved roads 40% colorado mountains. It needs 5-7 psi for optimal traction with tubliss. I will buy another one but I might give the mountain hybrid a shot to see if I can get some better off-road traction. Feels very stable on paved roads.

5 stars for longevity
3.8 stars for loose rocks/ dirt traction
4 stars for rocks
5 stars for durability (no cracking or chunks yet)

do the larger lugs on this tire increase the overall diameter?
BRENT W on Apr 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: yes a little but i had no problem with that on my 11 , 390 husaberg like the tire but my brother ran the tire on his bike with only 6 lb of air bad idea tire came apart from running under inflated
How low tire pressure can you run with tubes?
Steve P on May 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I usually keep mine at about 8-10 psi. The sidewalls are so stiff and durable, my friend had a flat and didn't know it. We rode back to camp, about 6 miles, and stuffed a new tube in it. A thousand miles later, it is still looking great. I have lowered the pressure down to 6 psi, in really sloppy stuff, and the tire worked great. It will wear out faster on the roads, at lower pressures. Tubliss will allow you to go 0-6 psi, but I just run a heavy duty tube, and keep it between 8-12.
Can you put a 140/80-18 soft mousse in here?
Gene C on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Ive never run mousse but it's a standard tire size so if the mousse is the same size I dont see why it wouldn't work. I run the tubliss system and it works great.
What is the speed rating on these tires?

Will the 120/100 x 18 fit my 2018 Honda XR650L which calls for a 4.60 x 18?
A shopper on Feb 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It will fit, but it's a bit small for the XR650L. I had the same bike and used the Tractionator Desert H/T 130/90-18 and it was fantastic! Great dirt traction and long life with both street and dirt use.
I hope this helps.
