Used 85% off-road; 15% road
Terrain: Mountainous double-track rocky; & desert
Off-road performance : excellent
Road: Good for connecting trails, but avoid the freeways.

Stay away if you ride in rocks
Works surizingly well on the street. Probably down 30% after 350 miles of street. Lasted 30 miles off road in the rocks. If you ride in rocky terrain stay clear! Pretty good dirt tire. I think the front tire is better than the rear.

Great tire! Off road and on.
This is my 2nd MT21. First one got about 2,500 miles.. Great tire off road and handles the pavement well, although pavement at highway speeds eats up tire quick.

2009 KLR 240lb. riding in Southern Utah
I put new MT21's to attend the Flying Monkey Adventure in Southern Utah. The terrain was mostly soft and very sandy in places. At 20 psi single and 25 psi two up, the tires handled much better off road than the Kenda Big Blocks they replaced. The Kenda's are a better street tire because of it's bigger blocks and smooth to the touch surface, but the MT21's are much better in the dirt. I was able to do sandy hill climbs that the Kenda's wouldn't do. and the front tire turns in fine where the Kenda would tuck in soft terrain. After about 400 miles in easy terrain and asphalt, single and two up, the tires show little wear on the rear and none on the front. I can't comment on tread life yet but since the knobs are smaller, closer to a dirt bike tire, I don't expect them to last very long in the Las Vegas area where I live.

MT21 ON road use.
Tires are great for road use. Will take a curve pretty good to be a knobbies. Will run out quickly though. I got just over 1400 miles on a new set. Would buy again

MT21's on a WR250R
I ride nearly exclusively offroad, in Texas at the Red River Motorcycle Trails in Bulcher TX. 2700 acres of private property with an awesome trail system that has a wide variety of terrain, sand, mud, rocky stuff, roots, you name it. I put a D606 on the back of my WR250R with the MT21 on the front and the difference in traction and control is a night and day difference over the stock bridgestone trailwings. I got it out on the road for a short bit, for it up to 80, the front seemed a little less smooth and not quite as in control as the trailwings but still seemed ok considering it is a 90/10 tire.

I would definitely recommend this combo to anyone looking to be more in control of their dual sport off-road.

Good duel sport tire for off road use
I mounted these on my Husqvarna 701 Enduro and have been riding off road desert single track and dirt roads. Much better in the dirt than the TKC 80 Twin Duro that came on the bike. Good traction on sand and dirt. I wouldn't recommend these if you ride mostly on the street. Most aggressive, street legal tires i could find.

Weird tread wear on front tire
I've only ran one of these tires about half way down. It hooks up a lot better than the stock did. The one thing i don't understand is the tread wear pattern. The treads are kinda like -=-= in the center. The = treads wear down faster than the - treads.

I have a KTM 450 EXC. Rear tire size is 140/80/18 with front being 90/90/21. What is the correct tube to fit these tire sizes?

BEST ANSWER: Sedona offers a 5.0-5.10x18 standard tube which is the equivalent of a 130-140 size tube. The next closest thing is the STI is the 110-100/100x18. Tubes expand and will fill the void of the larger tire and since it's a heavy duty tube, it will still be plenty thick.

Is it real important to stay with the stock OEM tire size? Front: 90/90/21 Rear 140/80/18. I want to go with a 80% dirt 20% pavement DOT. There seems to be more variety if I don't go stock. bike is a LC4 640 Adventure KTM

BEST ANSWER: These tires are great, I have been very pleasantly surprised. I would say size does not matter if they fit. I ride a 2010 Kawasaki KLX250S and it came with 50/50 tires. They were tiny and sucked in the off road. I went to really aggressive knoby tires and they wore out in about 1000 miles. The MT21 tires are great on the road and the only place they are sketchy is in deep sand, but just let them spin and the get through it. the 90/90/21 is amazingly stable on sandy trails even with 30 psi in them. Best tires I have had so far.
