rear tire

Comments On Mar 26, 2015:This tire is a good tire, very good wear, have put about 2,500 miles of mostly trails and fire roads on it with still about 75% tread left. good on pavement and fire roads, decent off road but is not that great in mud.

Highway review

Comments On Feb 23, 2015:tires have a little road -walk after about 60mph. Only put about 50 miles so far but hope they will brake in better. Tires look good, have plenty of traction off road as well as on the highway.

Good price

Comments On Nov 25, 2014:I run these on pavement quite a bit on my xr600. They hook up pretty well and last a surprising amount of miles for a knobby. And they are cheap.

Comments On Nov 21, 2014:It is suppose to be a 50/50. I ride daily to work 75% pavement and 25% dirt. I have had better luck with wear on a off road tire. this tire was terrible in the sand and rock. It wore quick lasted about 6 weeks.

Squirelly but sticky front!

Comments On Nov 05, 2014:I took my time reviewing the tyres. I was trying to get used to the very different characteristics to all other tyres.
The rear tyre is confidence inspiring, both in the dry and wet. It never skipped a beat, and is wearing slowly - all good!
The front... is an entirely different story. The knobbles are soft, which does mean at slow speeds it is a bit squirelly and vague to steer. Having said that, squirelly or not IT STICKS.
IF you are willing to put up with the slight imbalance while you are leaning over, but not fall... its great!!
The only reason I rated them 4 stars is that the speed rating for the front - 120kmh or 75mph is a bit slow for the occasional freeway blast.
Bur the rate of wear, price and the stickiness more make up for it.
A very good tyre. I will buy again.

Great value, great tire

Comments On Nov 02, 2014:I had both front and rear tires. I replaced non DOT knobbies with these and these are much better, especially on the street. They work pretty well in most stuff, nice on street, good on rocks, not great in mud or sand.

holds up, great price

Comments On Oct 30, 2014:I've taken this tire on terrain that 99% of KLR riders won't touch. It's held up in sharp rocks and high speed poundings. Can't say enough about this tire. Bought same for front and rear.

Good tire for desert style dual sport

Comments On Jul 28, 2014:I bought this tire when I lived in the Mojave. When I first purchased the tire, it felt very slick in the dirt. As it wore in, it had plenty of grip to get me moving, but enough slip to allow some great power slides. Mileage wise, I probably have about 3000 miles on it, and it should be replaced soon. Usage was mixed road and dirt for about 2000 miles, and lately just road. Definitely more of a 50/50 tire.

not for high speed

Comments On Jul 27, 2014:This is a good tire for the money, especially for dirt. You get what you pay for though. This front tire took 60g to balance, which seems excessive. It is fine at low speeds, really up to 60 or so. Much faster that that it sets up a crazy wobble or bounce that is a bit scary. I will try to wear this out on local roads, and will definitely replace it before I go on my next road trip.

Difficult to install

Comments On Jul 17, 2014:This tire had a large cup and looked different than the rest. (As difficult to install as the more expensive ED78s). It had severe issues trying to hold an Ultra Heavy Duty tube eventually blowing out the side wall and destroying the tire. Going back to Dunlops, D606s!
