I have only worn them once so far, but I am really impressed. Very comfortable and not as bulky as my Asterisk Ultracell. Another benefit is now my boots fit much better at the top, they actually close now..

I wanna like these but im not sold on them. These don't work as good for a tall rider as they would a smaller rider. Being tall and having long legs places the 2 middle straps right near the crease behind your knee and even with knee brace socks it takes a toll on the skin behind the knee, big pinch point. A shorter rider would have the straps further away from the crease at the back of the knee due to the legs being shorter and also when sitting, you don't have to bend the knee as much. For a rider 6' and up I would not recommend them. Im 6'3" and prefer a different brace. They tend to slip a little bit and the hooks at the top and bottom of the brace are gimmicky imo.

These are the most comfortable knee braces I've ever worn. Coming from the Asterisk Ultra Cell's with the web/lace backing system, I was hesitant of the straps irritating the backs of my legs and the lower profile frame offering less protection. I was wrong. They are substantially, slimmer and less bulky but offer the same amount of coverage and protection. Also, they are more minimalistic in design compared to the ultra Cell, I don't see any part on these failing in the future where the old ultracell's failed in multiple places, namely the plastic straps, lower knee cup attachment, and the ratcheting web/lace mechinism popping out of socket. Hope this helps..

The protection seems solid, and comfort is fine only issue I'm having 8 months in is durability. The joints on both braces seem a little sloppy and have spots that catch making the brace have a sticking point its not enough to turn me off to the product but enough to be a nuisance. Overall decent product

I had the original Asterisk Cell knee braces for a while now. I just bought the Ultra Cell 4.0 over the carbon cell due to the Ultra Cell being more like the Original Cell braces and being able to adjust the top and bottom for a more custom feel. I also liked how the straps are on the 4.0 compared to the Carbon Cell's which are individual straps that dug into the back of my legs. The 4.0 is definitely more bulky than the Carbon and weighs a few more ounces. I was still able to get the top of my Gaerne SG12 size 13 closed and I have an 18-inch diameter calf.
