Are ATV handguards important? Yes! If you do any amount of trail riding, you know how it is to have little branches flicking your knuckles and brake levers. And if you enjoy racing or simply riding with others, you know what it’s like to be constantly bombarded with roost. Not only are both of these annoying, but they can also begin to cause real pain. And under the wrong circumstances, they can even be unsafe if it causes serious problems with your brake levers.
Don’t let the branches or roost win. Get handguards instead. You’ll be amazed at how much you like them. And if you need something that can take a real impact, make sure you get bark busters. While all handguards are designed with high quality plastics to ward off twigs and small branches, some (affectionately called “bark busters”) also include a metal bar to withstand larger objects. Get whatever is appropriate for your riding habits.
At Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, we stock a variety of handguard brands:
Each brand offers several different options, so you’ve got plenty of choices when looking for handguards to fit your quad.
Aside from trail protection, you’ll also find a few ATV hand warmers here as well. These are special handguards that are designed more as protection against the cold winter weather than they are against branches on trails.
Take a look at the ATV handguards on the page to see what interests you. With such a variety of styles, colors and designs, you’re sure to find the perfect match for you.

I have used these now on two different quads and my street bike. They work great, particularly when used with hand warmers. The other morning was the first time in freezing weather that my hands were cold when I left the house and warmed up by the time I got to work.Read All Reviews

As soon as I opened these I was almost positive I wanted to return them. Pretty basic reasons. Although they do look nice, first thing I noticed was the weight. That didn't deter me, what did was mainly that they curve back over the top of your hands. Not as bad as some of the old cups Acerbis made 20 years ago, but enough I would be afraid of breaking my wrists in the event of going over the bars. Secondly I ordered white and they have a weird tint to them. Otherwise I still gave two stars because they look nice and decently sturdy. I would keep if they were more flat like they look in the picture and less cupped.Read All Reviews
