Details

The Motoz Mountain Hybrid Tire is a new concept for off-road tires that combines the traction of a trials tire and the handling of a serious off-road tire into one. It does this with a new tread design concept that works on a flexible tread concave and lock system, giving increased traction while avoiding punctures at low inflation pressures. The Motoz Mountain Hybrid tire climbs like a trials tire but handles corners, river crossings, sand and rocks like a regular DOT compliant off-road tire.

    Specs:
  • Handles like a traditional off-road tire
  • Grips like a trials tire
  • Reinforced sidewalls allow low tire pressure when riding.
  • DOT compliant.
  • Great wear life.
  • Reversible for more tread life
  • Each tread block has deep sipes for extra trails like grip

Great overall tire
I generally ride everywhere from moab rock and sand to the muddy trials of upper idaho. so far this tire continuelly surprises my on all of my rides i have over 1000 miles on with a wr250f. I bought 2 thinking i would burn through them pretty fast but apparetnly not. The tration is great everwhere but especially on loose rocky, basically everything that usaully is hard to ride this tire beats all of the others I've tried.

Moto Z
Works good on the rocks and wears really good. However, not as good cornering on dirt or gravel.

Works great in the rough
The worse the conditions are the better this tire works, love it for rocky and slippery conditions, not great on dry hard pack conditions, but that is very little of my riding.

Awesome Tire
First time riding anything close to a trials tire, hooks up beautifully everywhere I’ve ridden it, durable for occasional street use and it looks better than I thought it would. Highly recommend.

Will last forever, but at the price of traction
This tire likely will last 2,000 miles, however the traction on dry, hardpack is terrible. The carcass is just too stiff and the compound is very hard. I have to run it at 7 PSI to get nominal traction compared to other tires in dry/hard conditions. The traction gets better once the tire is worn about 50% because the tire has too much crown to it.

Can't rate it for tread life yet but performance is great.
I haven't had much time on it yet but I am very impressed with how predictable it is on all types of terrain. It works good in mud and exits it from the tread better than I anticipated. Excellent traction on loose rocks while hill climbing. Very happy with it so far.

Best tire out there for the mid size powerful DS’s
A good compromise between durability and traction. It works very well on heavier bikes like KTM 690 and Husky 701. Good road manners also.

Very happy so far
Performed very well on my first ride with it. You’ll need good throttle control with this tire.

wet & dry pavement ?
A shopper on Aug 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have run several of these tires now.
Wet/dry on or Offroad didn't phase it at all.

The problem is most people run this tire overinflated.
(Loading up, not lasting) this tire has a tough heavy as all get out sidewall with A VERY soft crown that needs to flex in order to shed mud.
I got 5,000 miles (yes you read that right) on a KTM 690 commuting with weekend Offroad.. still suck like Velcro with less than 1/8” tread left.
The trick is to run UNDER 10psi on this tire, it's a tough one and I run my current ones 3-5 psi even on the pavement.
I know it seems backwards but 10psi Max even in the road, the trick is to allow the ENTIRE tread to hit the road reducing the load on the center knobs
Does the MotoZ lower fuel economy with the heavier weight?
A shopper on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't comment on mileage but this tire is bullet proof! The best tire I have ever used for Hard-Enduro riding! I just replaced it with approx. 3000km on it!
Can you put in a 140/80-18 soft mousse in this tire?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have not done it, but I beleive it will run one. This is my second mountain hybrid and I have run them both with tubes. I have abused the heck out of them and never had a puncture flat.
What's the speed and weight ratings on this tire?
Shane W on Jun 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 68 M is what is shown on the tire... so 661lbs and 81mph
