    Only Two Pockets

Nice pants so the 5 stars. But only two thigh pockets, does not have the two additional pockets like the text states. I like having a few pockets. The nice news is Rocky Mountain paid for the shipping back and refunded my money in full and quickly. It is very nice dealing with a good company. Thanks,, DJ

need new boots, wont buy these again

I had these for several years and many many trail miles. They are probably the best women's specific boot, and I understand they wear out in in time. But I've always had problems with the buckles. Enough that I hate these things. Pros: comfortable, fit great, good protection, like the looks. Cons: buckles and stitching. Like other reviewers have said they are impossible to use. when I take them off I have to relax and take a deep breath before I exert a huge feat of strength to just unbuckle them. Its my least favorite part of my ride. And don't stand near anything because after the buckle finally opens you will smash your hand on whatever is nearby. The I don't undo them from there. I can't get the buckle off the boot. We have drilled the hole and used wd40 and other things, which helps for one ride. But they don't come off. So I just loosen the boot and slip my foot out. Then when I go to buckle them I need to slip my foot in, tighten the velcro, and kick each buckle closed. The alpinestar 7s I had before weren't this way. I would probably buy these again if they had anything better for buckles. They are really that bad. The stitching has been coming undone around the ankles for quite a while. I think having a hinged ankle would help that. The rest of the wear has actually been pretty good. They are showing signs of heavy use, but now that the stitching coming undone is worse the leather is bending into my leg and they are uncomfortable. Time for new boots. I wish sidi or garne made my size.

    Runs Very Small!

Thanks to RM for the worry-free exchange. I'm usually a Medium everything, and fit in men's size 32 pants. However, I bought a Large in this jacket based on the chest measurements, which should have allowed plenty of room everywhere. Not so, couldn't get it on with the liner, even with just a Tshirt underneath. With liner removed, got it on, but really tight in the hips and chest. The jacket itself looks really well built, with soft lining around the collar for scratch-free wear. The shoulder and elbow guards are light, enough to offer a bit of protection but not too much to feel like a straightjacket. I like the pockets placed well for gloved opening/closing. I can't wait to get the X(!)-Large and test it. Will post an update! Update: Ultimately giving it 3 stars. Quality and workmanship is unmistakable. Female fit, not so much. You'll need to be small in the hips and chest to enjoy this jacket. I removed the spine and shoulder protectors as well as the liner, and it fits, but still feels like it was originally designed for a man's straight-up-n-down figure. Purchased it for wet Pacific NW dirt riding, and it will do fine, so I'm keeping it. Final update. Sadly, no matter how bad I wanted to love this jacket, it just wasn't fitting. I returned for a refund. Big thx to RMATV for the no-hassle return policy. I love A-star stuff and wanted to like it, but this was not working. If you're a straight up-n-down figure, go for it. Curvy? Keep searching. C'mon manufacturers, girls ride too, and need stuff that fits.
