OK, I like the "Works" style plate on my older KDX much better than this one. The plate is thick and protects the frame and motor just fine, but the "wings" are annoying and get in the way. I used my works style plate as a guide and hacked the wings off, remounted and am MUCH happier with it now. If you ride in areas with big rocks and technical trails, you need a skid plate and this will do, but it's just "OK".Read All Reviews

I like the craftsmanship and the coverage but just not the engine noise-enhancing properties of the plate. I'll look for ways to tone that down. Other aftermarket aluminum plates may offer comparable pros and cons. The factory aluminum plate is much quieter but offers limited protection.Read All Reviews

I used this on my WR450F mounted upside down to the tail light screws as a license plate holder. This is a solid and reasonably light piece of sheet metal that is easy to work with. I've ridden 150+ miles of gnarly single track off road and this plate is holding up well. I'm sure this would be more than acceptable as an inspection plate on a street bike.Read All Reviews
